Next Morning, Elena is writing in her journal again. I pick out my clothes, I decided to wear my red polka dot tube top, daisy duke shorts, sandals, pearl bracelet, and white fedora. Yes I've added a little color to my oufit, don't get excited about it. Its just one color.

I loved this car since I was old enough to walk. I get in the car and drive to school. Elena was getting a ride from Stefan and Jer stayed at a friends house. Once I get to school I see my boyfriend, Matt Donavan. "Hey Matty."

"Hey, Elle. You look gorgeous today." Matt says.

"Thanks, you look sexy in your football jersey." I tell him. He smiles. "Matty, I'm sorry but we aren't going to work. After my parents died it's been different, I have changed and I need to change who I date and your not my type anymore. You will always be my best friend though ok, Matty."

"Sounds good to me." He leaves.

I walk into my History class. "Today we are going to be learning about the 1960s because of the decade dance coming up. Will any of you like to share what you know about the 60s." Mr. Tanner asks.

I raise my hand and he let's me talk,"'The Sixties', as they are known in both scholarship and popular culture, is a term used by historians, journalists, and other objective academics; in some cases nostalgically to describe the counterculture and revolution in social norms about clothing, music, drugs, dress, sexuality, formalities, and schooling; and in others pejoratively to denounce the decade as one of irresponsible excess, flamboyance, and decay of social order. The decade was also labeled the Swinging Sixties because of the fall or relaxation of social taboos especially relating to racism and sexism that occurred during this time."

"Very good Emeliegh. Elena what year did the Vietnam War end?" Mr. Tanner says.

Elena doesn't answer, "I was willing to be lenient for obvious reasons last year but summer is over. Alright Emeliegh when did the Vietnam War end?"

"April 30, 1975." I answer without looking up from my drawings.

(A/n: before you all decide to say how ugly the top butterfly is, please note that it was colored by a seven year old girl who just so happens to be my cousin and while I value peoples opinion on things. When it comes to my family I do not tolerate rude and nasty comments about them or the things they have made so if you have something rude to say about it please keep it to yourself or lie, thank you.)

"Thank you Emileigh

"Thank you Emileigh. The class should take as much interest in history as you do." Mr. Tanner states.

I love being the smartest girl in my class. Its entertaining. I am the only one who can pass Mr Tanner's class, so now I just basically grade the tests and don't have to take it anymore. I don't mind Mr Tanner knows that I can answer all his questions without paying attention because I love history and started to read about it when I was five years old. Technically I could have skipped Highschool and went straight to college because of how smart I am.
