Tyler's POV

My mind was blank. It felt like I was floating in an endless space. No problems, just a peaceful silence.

Suddenly, I heard a very loud, annoying sound. It was the same noise I hear every damn morning. The alarm clock. My head was pounding from all the alcohol I drank last night, but it was still better than having to wake up and go to my father's stupid company every morning. The only thing that was comforting me was the fact that I earned some cash. And by 'some' I mean a few hundred thousand bucks. It was worth staying in that boring office for 6 months. But since yesterday, I was back in South Hills, my small crappy home town. And of course school... Fuck me.

I got up from my bed, and headed to the bathroom. Once I was there, the first thing I did was get under the cold water. A early morning shower was always the only thing that helped me fresh up a bit; clear my thoughts.

School was never something I wasted energy on. It was going to be over in a few months or so anyway. It seemed to mean a lot to my father, but I never bothered with education. I had other things to think about. After getting ready, I headed out of my apartment; the elevator giving me a moment to get my thoughts together.

I barely remembered last night. The parties in South Hills were always sick, and it felt good being back. I was appreciated here. But the same old same old girls were getting boring. The ones on the campus were a fresh start, but nothing compared to the NY chicks. I would go back just for that. Looking around, I just got more and more aware that everything was the always the same. The same as I left 6 months ago.

When I got outside of the building I was surprised to see Jace. He was smoking a cigarette while leaning on his big motorcycle, which was parked right next to mine and a lot similar. Jace was never part of the crowd, he was always outstanding with his fake blonde hair. He was a good friend of mine, and probably the only person who knew that much about my life. He was looking at the ground, when he lifted his head, and saw me getting out of the building.

I walked towards him, still a bit surprised to see him here. "New bike, huh?"

"Yea.. Ready to go to hell?" Jace mumbled, while trowing his cigarette away. I knew exactly what he was talking about. School. That's the last place I wanna be in right now...

"Let's see how this baby works. Race you to school? Even tho you'll probably loose, as always." I sneered. Races were like our inside thing, a joke. And cause all of our other friends had bikes, these kind of stuff happened a lot.

"Nah, not up for it. It's 7 am, and I don't really feel like dying." He said, while putting his helmet on.

I let out a little laugh before I started provoking him. "I see. You're scared I'm gonna beat ya. I guess some stuff just never change.."

"You know what, fine. But you asked for it. Now the whole school is gonna see you loose." He said, returning the provoking tone. Even though I made a lot of friends these six months in NY, I missed having him around. All though, I would never confess that to him.

We got on our bikes, and didn't even bother to take a slow start. It was a lot easier to have bike races in South Hills, than in New York. There's not as much traffic, and people know that they may die if they try crossing the street. When I was on my bike, the only thing I saw was the road in front of me. Everything else was just a colorful wind.

In a few minutes, we were turning right, towards the school's parking lot. I was right, nothing changed around here. We parked our motorcycles next to the other two, who were probably Max and Trevor's. Taking my helmet off, I noticed hundreds of weird stares from all the students that were in the school yard. But then again I was used to that. I saw Max and Trevor leaning against one of the trees, putting their jerk faces on. It was kind of hard not to notice two tall dudes, laughing like idiots on the side.
