Great curiosity suddenly began to seep into you. As you focused on the boy at the end of the ditch, you couldn't help but feel immediate worry for his condition.

He looks seriously injured..

You shook your head and headed back to the safety of your cottage. As you turned away, you stole a glance at the struggling boy.

He's just a kid...

Your heart ached. With a mind and stomach lurching with regret, you sprinted towards him.

You were afraid but knew that you were more worried about how injured he could be. You caught your breath and stopped a few times until you stood a few feet away from him.

"Run..don't come near me.." he weakly whispered once he noticed you.  Sorrowful emotions grew into your empathetic heart.

You ignored his foolish warning and squatted down to try bringing him to his feet.

"Are you-"

Before you could finish your question, a cold voice interrupted you.

"Leave pheasant."

You looked up to see two muscular men in armor towering over you. The one who seemed to interact with you had pink hair, dressed in silver armor. His blue eyes stared at you coldly.

Their presence itself sent shivers up and down your spine. You immediately fled far towards the opposite direction to avoid being a target, but hid behind a wagon to remain close enough to watch what was about to unfold.

"Meliodas! How weak you are," the other holy knight spat. His blonde hair swayed in the wind.

"Haha, you really think so?" the boy called Meliodas chuckled.

The blonde holy knight smirked. "Let's finish him off, shall we Gilthunder?"

The "Gilthunder" holy knight stared at the weak man attempting to kneel before them.

His brows furrowed. "Disappointing."

"He's too weak to even fight back. That would be a waste of time, Howzer."

"Are you kidding me? The kingdom of Liones wants the Seven Deadly Sins dead! They're a threat to all of us!"

Seven Deadly Sins?

Gilthunder didn't reply for a while, but suddenly pulls out his sharp sword. Its keen edges looked so delicate in a way. Lightning-like patterns raced around it and disappeared in an instant.

"If anyone were to kill the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins, it would be a pleasure if his blood stained my sword."

He smirked and pointed his weapon up to the sky. He began to swing it in a frightening, circular motion. Somehow, storm clouds slowly developed in the atmosphere, causing the blue sky to shift to a depressing gray. Thunder flashed and light zapped.

He charged his power and yelled out,"Thunder Bolt!"

You gasped and looked away from the sight as he targeted the sword to the boy.

"Not so fast Lil Gil! I won't let you have all the fun," Meliodas declared, standing up in a hurry.

He reached his right arm back and swiftly punched the knight directly in his gut. The heavy impact sent him flying across the land with no hesitation.

Howzer looked at Meliodas with an expression of disgust. You expected him to continue on with the battle, but instead he jumped and disappeared in an instant.

Meliodas sighed and glanced straight into your eyes. Without saying a word, he gave you a smile before falling back down to the ground.

Your jaw dropped at his worsened condition. You sprinted back over to him and cautiously shook his arm. "Sir! Are you okay?!" you asked with alarming concern.

The boy slowly opened his eyes after a quick second. Another smile crept onto his lips.

"What's your name?"

Huh??

You looked at him strangely. "I-I'm (Y/N)...and you're Meliodas, right?"

He supported himself up off the ground with a muscular arm and pointed to himself. "Yup! That's me!"

"You shouldn't be moving so har-"

"I'm pretty hungry (Y/N)," Meliodas interrupted," "Mind if you let me into your home?"

Your eyes widened. "Huh? Excuse me!"

He chuckled at your reaction. "Consider it a 'thank you' for saving your life."

"Saving my life? Those people weren't even targeting me!" you protested. The deal he was trying to present to you was quite frankly an invasion of your privacy.

You slowly examined him. You noticed that he was pretty short, probably around the age of a 10 year old. The midget was mantled in bruises and his shoulder was bleeding.

"You need medical attention!" you cried out before he could continue his pointless bargain.

"Oh this," Meliodas pointed at his shoulder, "I'm fine!"

After Meliodas used your weak heart against you, he was able to convince you to take him in for temporary shelter. You lead the way to your home and told him to get comfortable once he stepped into your little cottage.

"Okay!" he said.

Suddenly you feel your chest being invaded and your cheeks quickly burned up. You immediately looked down, seeing small hands squeezing your breasts. He peered at you with green eyes.

"YOU PERVERT! STOP!" you yelped. You punched him straight in the face, making him stumble back in surprise.

You covered your mouth in shock from your own strength. Meliodas rubbed his cheek and gave a grin to signal his recovery.

You sighed and couldn't help but feel flustered. You hurried over to the kitchen to leave the awkward matter and prepared food for the strange guest.
