The forest was not that far from the town itself so you were fine with walking. The horizon was now coated with a thin line of orange, and another twinkling night was about to fall.
How beautiful...
You were now standing at the edge of the forest, shivering from the cold.
Dammit..I forgot to bring a jacket! You hugged yourself tightly and waited for the blonde boy.
A few minutes passed till you felt a warm hand on your shoulder.
"Hey!" you greeted as you turned around to see Meliodas.
He was still wearing his clothes from earlier; a white button-front shirt and a black sleeveless vest on top with a loosely worn tie. Yet somehow he looked cuter than before.
Excuse me?
Meliodas grinned. "Hey! So are you ready?" he asked.
You nodded even though you were not so sure if you could handle what was in store for you later in the future.
"Where are we headed?" you asked.
He kept his grin and placed his hands on his hips. "It's a surprise, now let's go!" Meliodas declared, grabbing your hand and walking towards a certain direction.
"M-Meliodas! Hold on! Why can't I know?" you asked, pulling your hand away from his grip.
"I can only tell you that we're going to be walking seven miles" he said with ease.
"Seven miles?!" you whined.
"Less whining and more walking," Meliodas ordered.
You sighed and followed him as he walked into the depths of the forest. Seven miles was impossible. If this included Meliodas giving you a piggy back ride for a majority of the distance, then it was fine by you.
An hour passed by and you were getting tired and irritated from jumping over huge tree roots, watching out for branches that could whack you in the face, and getting frightened of all the noises surrounding you in the dark. You ran to catch up with Meliodas and shivered again.
"Are you cold?" he asked.
"No s-shit sherlock.." you stuttered.
He chuckled a bit then went silent.
"Meliodas?" you said, a bit concerned.
All of a sudden you felt an arm wrap around your waist and another around your legs.
"W-woah!" you exclaimed in surprise. You opened your eyes and realized that Meliodas was carrying you bridal style.
"You still cold?" he asked.
You shook your head, blushing. His surprising warmth made your eyes get heavier and heavier until you couldn't fight it anymore. Without any thought you drifted off into a deep sleep, resting on Meliodas's muscular chest.
•••
After a while you heard a voice calling out your name. You slowly opened your eyes. Meliodas was peering down at you, smiling.
His smile...it's quite adorable
WAIT WHAT?
You blushed 5o shades of red and shook that thought out of your head.
Meliodas's POV
I was getting pretty tired, not because of (Y/N)'s weight, but because we haven't made it out of the forest yet. Her slim figure proved her to be super light.
But after a while, to my relief, a huge green meadow came into view. I sighed and looked at (Y/N) She was kind of cute when she slept, looking like an innocent child. I then decided to wake her up from her long nap. I quietly called out her name.
Her eyes fluttered open to reveal those beautiful (E/C) eyes.
Such a stupid thing to think
I ignored it and smiled at her. (Y/N) stared up at me and looked away.
I thought I saw blush....
Your POV
You yawned and stretched your arms. Meliodas put you down and brushed his fingers into his blonde locks.
"Where are we? A meadow?" you asked, looking at the wide field.
"Yup!" Meliodas said. "And that," he continued, pointing to a building in the distance,"I believe is our stop."
Author's Note:
So if you know what that building is you can comment what your guess is :) I'm sorry for not updating sooner reader-chan! It's Christmas time and I'm busy :/ Love chu croutons~
