"You just got lucky! Next time I'm gonna pop that ball!" Hawk snorted, quickly scooting off you with a hint of attitude.

You slowly got up and dusted the dust off your skirt. "Nice try Hawk!" you teased with a joyful grin.

Elizabeth giggled and put her hands up in the air for the next catch. You were about to juke
Hawk and throw it over, but the sound of a whistle disturbed your graceful movement.

You sighed and stopped in your tracks. You looked over at the Boar Hat to see Meliodas holding his signature, attractive, grin. With a wave of his hand, he signaled for you to go back inside.

"Time for us to start moving! Let's go!"

The announcement of finally settling in a new region erupted a feeling of excitement in your stomach. You hurried over towards the Boar Hat with Elizabeth and Hawk trailing right behind you.

You went inside and kept the ball in storage, then quickly raced to the window to watch the satisfying process of Hawk's mom digging herself out of her camouflaged disguise.

"Where at, captain?" King yawned, turning over on his poofy pillow.

Meliodas sat down on a stool and spread his legs out on the table, letting out a sigh of relaxation. With hands cradling his head, he closed his eyes and frowned.

"I don't know actually."

Everyone whipped their heads over to the blonde midget that lay peacefully. He opened his left eyelid, exposing the beautiful emerald gems stamped as his pupil.

"Idiot," Merlin murmured.

You rolled your (E/C) eyes and leaned your back against the wall.

"How about we go back to (Y/N)'s town?" Meliodas suggested.

You froze. Your eyes widened from the unexpected mention of your home, the home you completely forgotten halfway into the havoc you were placed into.

"C-Cain Town?" you stammered.

Meliodas's stare made you shift in place. You wondered if he was serious or wanted to get you in an unguarded state.

"Yup, if Gilthunder is planning to attack, he expects us to be near the kingdom right? Or somewhere like the Forest of White Dreams. Why not a regular old village that we can camp probably 6 miles away from?"

Your gaze hung loose at the ground. You missed your home very much. It held the memories of when Meliodas first introduced and invited himself to your cottage. But you had disturbing dreams related to your parents, not knowing if that meant death or warning.

"(Y/N)?" Ban called, hitting your forehead with the flick of his finger.

"Ow!" you yelped, swiping his finger away. You shook your head and caught yourself being stared by all the sins.

"S-Sorry.. I just..I had dreams about Cain Town pretty long ago. They still haunt me. I just..the truth about my parents..."

Warm hands started to intertwine with your cold ones, grasping tightly and reassuringly. You looked up surprisingly and peered at the visage of your dear Meliodas. His expression radiated such determination.

"I'm going to protect you," he reassured, "And I'll help you. Promise."

You threw yourself on your springy mattress and immediately covered your body with the silky sheets. It was already the time of day where the sun revealed such beauty along the horizon. Orange, red, and many other colors splashed against the line of the earth.

You felt like dozing off and sleeping the whole way to Cain Town to avoid seeing the familiar environment. You had a hard time adjusting and pondered on how life was like back there, after being away for quite a long time.

You took a long look at the sunset, admiring the exquisite gift of nature. You smiled with warmth wiggling up your toes and up your spine.

"Mom...dad.." you whispered to yourself.

Are they dead?

Probably.

I'm such a selfish child.

You are.

Should I have left earlier in the journey?

What about Meliodas? The sins?

You rolled over to your other side. You faced the wooden wardrobe filled with only extra Boar Hat outfits. It's surface was carved with swirly designs.

Within a second of a blink of an eye, a figure with a horrifying head and metal armor with a dark pink-maroon dress appeared in front of you.

You gasped and quickly sat up, heart rate speeding up and all senses on full alert. You jumped off the bed and stood on the other side, keeping your wide pupils on the unwanted visitor.

The mysterious figure laughed. The cackle was one that belonged to a grown female. You held your breath and realized the heavy armor and sector the figure held was related to those of a holy knight.

"A holy knight? What the hell do you want!?" you exclaimed, gritting your teeth in frustration. You were tired of these unexpected surprises and constant threats.

The masked female laughed but harder this time. Her mocking one eye on her helmet sent shivers down your spine.

"Dear," she began to spoke with an echoing effect,"We're always watching you. Don't you know that? But oh! You should be glad I didn't catch what your pathetic boyfriend said earlier."

You tilted your head. Meliodas?

"If I wasn't so distracted with reciting my leader's commands, I would've figured out where you are all headed next. Which will be a whole lot of trouble for you."

You clutched your hands into a tight fist until your knuckles were pale and white.

"Remember what handso- SIR GILthunder said.." the holy knight hesitated.

"We're going to capture you and the princess. And eliminate everyone else."

You screamed. "Nooo! Stop! You son of a-"

She was gone.

With another blink, you caught yourself screaming at the wardrobe. You put your hand over your heart and tried to control how unstable you were. Your clear sight now was transforming into a cloud of white, tears starting to run down your cheeks.

"(Y/N)???"

Elizabeth came running through the room. You gasped for air as terror swept you. Elizabeth was shocked at your sudden posture. Immediately she ran to your side and fell to the ground with you, wrapping her slender arms around your petite body.

Before you cried into her shoulder, you caught a glimpse of Merlin at the doorway.
