Despite how annoying Meliodas was, a smile crept up your lips.
"Pffft...annoying angel," you mumbled, blushing at the thought.
You opened the door a crack and peered through the crevice. After examining and approving that the coast was clear, you headed towards the bathroom.
Meliodas's POV
"I need to freshen up!" (Y/N) lied, immediately pushing me to the door.
Once I was outside the room, she closed the door in my face before I could protest. I sighed, smiling from her childish behavior.
"You sure are cute..." I said under my breath, tucking my hands in my pockets.
As I headed downstairs to restock the empty beer storage, I was stopped midway by a smirking Hawk.
"Oi, Hawk, do you mind moving out of the way?" I asked, trying to move to the side.
He moved over to block me.
"Hawk, what's your problem?" I questioned. I tried juking him to fake to the other side, but it was no use. I was barricaded on the upper part of the stairs.
"Admit it," Hawk piped up after his short while of silence.
"Admit what?" My eyebrows lifted for clarification.
"Just admit it, and I'll let you go," he said. His stupid smirk grew even bigger.
"That I can't help myself but enjoy the pleasure of breasts and women? I thought you knew that already," I proclaimed.
Hawk snorted. "Idiot."
I expressed a clueless face.
His eyes narrowed. "You have feelings for (Y/N)."
I sighed and rested the back of my head on my hands. "So that's your problem."
"Just admit it Meliodas."
I scratched my head. "And why?"
"AHA! You do have feelings for her!!" Hawk yelled, a hoof raised in the air for his correct statement.
I quickly shot a hand to cover his snout, looking around to see if any other ears heard it. "Hawk, I don't know yet, okay? Just be quiet!"
He gave me a wink. "Just choose wisely Meliodas, just choose wisely."
And with that, Hawk trotted down to the lower floor, continuing to eat scraps that were on the tables.
I blinked.
He's right.
There's Elizabeth too.
Your POV
"There!"
You admired the result of your-not-so-messy side ponytail. Your (straight/curly/etc.), (H/C) rested calmly on your left shoulder.
You straightened the wrinkles in your skirt and pulled up the high socks so they were right above your knees.
After refreshing your face with cool water, you retreated downstairs where Meliodas was stocking up the shelves. Hawk rested in the far corner, snores spilling from his snout.
"So, you actually did freshen up," he greeted, smiling a bit.
You nodded and took a seat at the counter, resting your chin on the palm of your hand.
"Ne, Meliodas, how are you and Elizabeth?"
Meliodas stopped. It looked like hesitance for a mere moment. He lowered his arms to his side, then faced you.
