"Sodapop," I mumble into his stomach.

He chuckles lowly looking up at me, "yes Lacey."

I smile at him pecking his lips, "I don't know."

He laughs softly, "you make me smile."

"You make me happy," I bite my lip.

"I don't know what I'm gonna do without you this year Lacey," he speaks softly as he brushes my hair behind my ear. "I'm gonna miss your laugh, you smile, your voice, you face, your hair, your eyes. I'm gonna miss everything about you."

"I think you're trying to make me blush," I laugh as I look away insecurely.

I feel a hand on my cheek pulling my face to look at Sodapop. I let the hand guide me back to Soda's loving eyes, "I don't ever want to see you look away from me because, your blushing again. Okay my love."

I continue to blush as I whine out, "can you stop making me blush?"

He chuckles, "as long as I love you, I'll be making you blush."

I smile into his loving eyes pecking his lips ever so genitally, "I should really be getting home, it's late. I'll see you tomorrow."

As I go to get up he wraps his strong arms around my small waist pulling me back onto the bed, "no! Don't leave me."

"I gotta go home Sodapop," I chuckle.

He pouts his lips out slightly, "please."

I give in slightly, "just ten more minutes."

"That's better than nothing," he chuckles. "Although I think you should spend the night."

"I can't," I sigh. "You know that. I only have two more months here and my dad wants to get close to me. He wants me Sodapop."

Soda smiles, "of course he does Lace. You're his baby girl, but I want you too."

I chuckle, "well I spent all day with you. I'm sure Jilly and Spence missed me very much. The three of us, we're best friends."

"I know, Spencer tells me everything and Jilly tells Steve who tells me and you tell me," he chuckles. "Therefore everything that happens I get all three perspectives."

"That must be interesting," I laugh loudly.

He nods his head, "it's very interesting, mostly when it comes to disagreement. Spencer thinks Dally likes you."

I shake my head, "Dally is practically drooling over her. I wish this summer would last forever."

"Me too," Soda grabs my hand kissing the top of it. "We need to have a date night soon, we haven't done one of those in forever."

"We did one three nights ago," I chuckle. "Remember the sunset?"

He hits me playfully, "that doesn't count."

I climb on top of him pinning him down jokingly, "oh you sure about that? I think it counts."

He throws me off him as we continue to play wrestle, "absolutely positive because, if it does I can't take you to the lake."

I roll back on top of him, "well on that note, I guess it doesn't count. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Love you," he kisses me.

"Love you too," I reply as I gather all my stuff.

I walk inside my house to see my dad passed out on the couch. I walk over to him and I can smell the beer on his breathe. Tears form in my eyes as I remember right before he left. He was alcoholic. There was one night he even hit my mom, it was the beer, but still.
