21 || I Love you

I look at Jilly and Spencer late the next morning, "I'm gonna miss you two so much, it's not even funny."

Spence chuckles, "we're gonna miss you too."

Jilly nods on the verge of tears, "you better all me every fucking day, okay girl."

I nod as a few tears slide down my cheeks. I hug them both tightly, "I never thought saying goodbye could possibly be so hard."

"Neither did I," Jilly's voice breaks. "I love ya'll so much."

"I love ya'll too," Spencer starts to cry.

"That makes three of us," I smile.

As we all pull apart Jilly turns to me, "how much time to we have left?"

I grab my suitcase and glance at a clock "about six hours until it's four. The station is about an hour away so one of those hours we'll be driving."

"I thought we had longer together," Jilly look at me.

"Me too," I sniffle. "Gosh look at the three of us sobbing over me leaving."

Spence chuckles, "we just really love you."

I nod my head, "I love you guys too. As for you Spence, you better tell me if Dally breaks your heart, I'll be coming down and killing him...That goes for you and Steve too Jilly, I just can't see that happening....Oh yeah and call me if Sodapop starts dating somebody because, I need to know those kind of things."

"We will," Jilly nods. "Wanna go eat at the Dingo for good ol' times then say goodbye to Dally, Two-bit and Steve?"

I shake my head, "yes Dingo....Yes Dally....No Steve because, he's with Sodapop and I said goodbye to them last night....No to Two for the same reason."

"Bye Jilly," I hug her. "You better call me everyday and the days you forget I'll call you. I love you and I'll see you soon."

"I love you too and don't worry we'll talk five times a day. I'm gonna miss you so much, but we'll be girls forever," she chuckles.

I look at Spencer and smile sadly as she runs into my arms, "oh Spence, I'm gonna miss you so much. I love you. You better call me at least once a day too and if Dally hurts you I'll be down in a day if that. Okay?"

She nods as she cries softly on my shoulder, "okay. I love you too and I'm gonna miss you so much."

We pull apart and I look at them, "I'm gonna miss ya'll."

"You said ya'll," Jilly chuckles, "You're finally a southern. Man I'm gonna miss you."

"At least you guys got each other," I smile sadly. "I love you two."

"We love you too," they smile. 

"Bye," my voice cracks.

They nod their head, "yeah, bye Lace."

I watch as they walk away tears flowing down my cheeks as I buy my 4:30 ticket at 4:05.

At 4:23 I hear a familiar voice, "Lacey! Lacey Rose Mathews! Where are you?.....Uh hello sir, have you seen a pretty blonde? Lace!"

I listen closely until I release who's voice it is. I stand up and scream, "Sodapop?"

"Lacey!" I hear a sigh of relief. 

I look over at see Sodapop. I run over and hug him as he picks me up and spins me in the air. As I get back on solid ground I look up at him, "what are doing here? How did you get back here?"

He chuckles as he shows me a ticket, "I bought a fifteen dollar ticket to Texas."

"Why?" I ask.
