Alpha Problems (#3 of the Alpha series)

Chapter Six-Problem Two

I look at Natalya, just telling her everything I knew and what that Hunter had said over the phone, just as my bedroom window exploded. Natalya pushed me out of the way just as a gun was shot. She barely dodged the bullet and changed. I look over at the Window and see the Hunter who had killed two of my pack members, and a guy dressed as a ninja. I know frown and stand up, the Hunter stands, gun ready and the ninja looks at me. I can tell he's in charge.

"Why have you attacked my home?" I watch Natalya crouch, ready to throw herself in front of me to protect her Alpha. "What gives you the right to barge in here."

I nearly growl out. I clench my fists and crack my neck. The ninja pulls out a silver knife and a silver sword, watching me. I know if I try to change that'll I'll get shot or stabbed. I also know that I have a gun in my side table. The Hunter aims at Natalya. She growls, waiting for me to say she can attack. I watch the Hunter and the ninja. I put my hands behind my back and walk towards my side table while acting like I'm just pacing.

"I thought that your Council told you not to attack me." I look at the Hunter. "I thouht you said they wanted me dead for some reason or something like that." She doesn't blink. "I thought that you wanted to attack them with my help or something." I say, then peek at my side table drawer, then back at the two invaders. "Well? No comment? Fine." I turn my back to my side table and smile. "Then this will be silent."

I pull open the drawer and pull the gun, turning around just as she aims and cock the gun. I fire, missing on purpose then roll out of the way as she fires. The ninja runs at me and I dodge at the last second. I jump back and hit his arm then back up. I bring my fists up and wait, then I knock his sword out of his hands then kick him in the gut and knock him over. I put my foot on his neck and check on Natalya. She's standing on the Hunter's back. pinning her arms and legs. I look down at the ninja.

"Why the hell did you attack my home?" I ask, growling.

"The Council ordered us." I frown.

"So your a Hunter too?"

"Yes." I blink when I recognize his voice.

"It's you, that guy from the bar. Watcher." I press harder. "You were just messing with me! You knew who I was the whole time at the bar. And I was stupid enough to believe you some random guy who had a weird name. I should have seen that you were a Watcher-Hunter." I press harder.

I hear Hue come in, but he doesn't pause, he just goes into action like any Alpha would. H helps Natalya and I go to end it for the Watcher-Hunter when his hands lock on my ankle and he pushes me up and off. I fall on my ass as he grabs his silver sword and goes to stab me. Hue tackles him and I take the chance to turn. I growl and turn to look at the Watcher, but he's gone. Hue's looking around, confused. I frown then turn and help Natalya. We all pin the Hunter down.

Hue changes back, and I follow suite.

"Why hello Vivian. Thought I'd seen the last of you awhile ago." Hue says.

The Hunter  frowns at Hue. She stays silent though.

"Why did you attack the house?" I ask.

"The Council sent me to attack with Watcher." I frown and look at Hue.

"Looks like we ahve a problem. The Council wants something."

"Yea. You dead." Hunter says.

"Shut up." I knock her out then look at Hue. "We need to find out what the hell the Hunter Council wants with my pack." I growl out.

"So no kids...?"

"NO!" I growl. "I will not risk my child!" I make my claws come out and my eyes flash yellow.

"Okay Roxy. I was just messing with you..." 

I growl and look at the wall where the Hunters had crashed in. It would have to be rebuilt and I hated that the Hunters had ruined my home. Natalya took the Hunter into my basement and locked the door. There were no windows and the only way out was the door that Natalya was in front of. She took the silver gun and silver knife away, locking them up. I grabbed my pillow and blanket then head to my spare bedroom and make the bed. Hue follows me and watches.

"Am I allowed to stay in here with you again?" I sigh and look at him. "No strings attached, I just miss waking up to your mess of knotted black hair in my face and mouth. The smell of you all around me, and the feel of your body next to or on me." He wraps his arm around my waist and lays his head on my shoulder. "We've never had sex before, I won't pressure you now." I don't look at him, so he kisses my neck. I look at him. "Please?" I kiss him.

"Fine. But only becuase my plan to sufficate you with my hair won't work if you aren't sleeping in the same bed." I tease. He smiles.

"I thought you had a plan to get rid of me."

We kiss again and I let myself smile.
