66) Best Friends Forever

A/N) Where Tweak and Dashi contemplate their slightly unusual friendship...

SweetAsSugar: Hey tweak, have you ever thought about how it's kinda weird that we're best friends

I'mOnIt: yeah, I guess so

I'mOnIt: we are really different

SweetAsSugar; when we joined the crew I definitely wasn't sure that I was going to be friends with you

SweetAsSugar: it was weird how we really didn't like each other at first

I'mOnIt: I just thought you were all girly and annoying

SweetAsSugar: And I thought you were all tough and kind of scary

I'mOnIt: you thought I was scary?

SweetAsSugar: The first time I ever met you, you were underneath a Gup and asked me to pass you a screwdriver, remember?

I'mOnIt: yeah, but I do that to everyone

I'mOnIt: plus, I did need a screwdriver

SweetAsSugar: yeah, but your face was all smudgy and black from the engine oil, and it kind of intimidated me

I'mOnIt: you were intimidated by engine oil?

I'mOnIt: I always get covered in it when I work in the engine under the Gups

SweetAsSugar: bear in mind that this was nearly eight years ago

I'mOnIt: you were a softer and more gullible person

SweetAsSugar: yeah...

I'mOnIt: you gave me my bandanna for my twenty fourth birthday, remember?

SweetAsSugar: It was the only pink thing you'd ever actually submit to wearing XD

I'mOnIt: and I only wore it back then because you scared me

SweetAsSugar: oh, and now I'm the one scaring you?

I'mOnIt: apparently so

SweetAsSugar: I guess over time, as we became friends, we started to realise we had more in common than you'd initially think

I'mOnIt: haha yeah

I'mOnIt: like the fact that we're both sassy and have a similar sense of humour

SweetAsSugar: and that we're both interested in technology and create new things together

I'mOnIt: and like the first time I introduced you to video games and you instantly loved them

I'mOnIt: I couldn't get you to stop playing them for weeks!

SweetAsSugar: I still can't get you to like shopping though ;)

I'mOnIt: you did teach me how to surf

SweetAsSugar: I think you still need a little more practice at that particular skill, anyway

I'mOnIt: XD You're probably right

SweetAsSugar: remember the time we first invented something together?

I'mOnIt: oh yeah, when I was stuck on making a helmet camera, because I couldn't work out how to get the components small enough so they would fit on a helmet but would still work

SweetAsSugar: and obviously, since I love all things cameras...

I'mOnIt: you came and gave me a hint, and then we designed and built it together :)

SweetAsSugar: and they still work to this day

SweetAsSugar: most of the time, anyway ;)

I'mOnIt: and that led to us designing the OctoBots together, and the OctoMac suit, and all sorts of awesome things to come in the future

SweetAsSugar: I've got the programming and camera side of it

I'mOnIt: and I've got the designing and building side of it

I'mOnIt: we make a good team :D

SweetAsSugar: we may be super different in lots of ways

I'mOnIt: but we actually discovered over the years that we're really alike too

SweetAsSugar: and now we're the best of friends :)

I'mOnIt: uh huh, best friends forever :D
