The Return (Sequel to The Beginning)

Chapter 15

I wake up the next morning to the sun light streaming into my tree cave and blinding me. I groan and get up, realising that I haven't taken a bath for a very long time, I think since Rivendell. Well sure I have washed in the rivers we passed but never a good bath. I grabbed my spare clothes from my bag and walked out of my tree cave.

"Ah, Estella! You are finally awake!" I hear a voice beside me say.

"Well I had a good sleep, I haven't slept peacefully since Rivendell" I say back.

"I am guessing you want a bath right?" he questions.

"Yeah, I do. I really need one"

"Good, because you smell pen tithin" He teased.

He smirks at me and leads me to the bathing area. We pass trees, trees and trees.

"Doesn't this feel like Mirkwood again Leggy?" I ask.

"It does, but it just isn't enclosed." He responds.

"Do you ever miss Mirkwood?"

"Sometimes I do but other times I miss father" he says.

"I miss ada Thrandy as much as I miss Mirkwood but I think I miss him more."

"Well I miss when you used to run around the halls when the maids tried to give you a bath but you refused and always hid behind his throne" He laughed.

"Well I didn't like it when they gave me a bath, I would have Thranduil bathe me instead, or you."

"Well I have a few times as I remember you used to drag me to the bathing area after my patrol and push me into the water with you jumping in after me"

We both laughed and we stopped at the bathing area, the mist of the hot water surrounding the area. I looked towards Leggy and an idea popped into my head. I may be older physically but not mentally. I grinned evilly and walked towards the water.

"Hmmm" I hummed. I dipped my toe in the water and I said to him "The water feels nice"

"Really?" he asked.

"Yeah, come here and touch the water"

He walked over to the water and bent down. He dipped his finger in the water and then took it out.

"It is war-"He got cut off as water surrounded him.

I couldn't stop laughing when he surfaced.

"I can't believe I fell for that again." He grumbled and I stopped laughing.

"Yes I can't believe you fell for that again. Literally" I started laughing again.

"Give me a hand here please" Legolas said.

"Sorry but I'm not going to fall for it" I say standing at the edge of the water, watching him try to dry out his hair.

"Well then I just have to do this." He says, grabbing my leg and pulling me underwater with him.

I surface and scowl at him. He takes off his tunic and throws it on the floor somewhere to dry it and I take off my dress and throw it to dry it as well. I swim around a bit before looking for the soaps.

"Hey Leggy!" I ask, turning around to see him leaning his head back in the bath with his eyes closed.

"Yes?" he says, lifting his head up to look at me.

"Do you know where all the soaps are?"

"Here" he says, handing me the soaps.

"Thanks" I say, swimming over to him to get them.
