I barely got any sleep last night.
I was too excited. And stressed. And nervous. And a whole bunch of other emotions.
I still couldn't believe it. I had to let it sink in. Today.
Today I'm getting....married.
There was a knock on the door.
"Lina!" It was River.
I got up and opened the door. She jumped on/hugged me.
"I have a surprise for you." She said.
"Oh?"
She reached into a bag she was holding and brought out a shimmering floor length white dress.
"Oh my God River. It gorgeous." I said, hugging her tightly.
"Well, go ahead try it on!" She squealed.
I put on the dress and went to go look in the mirror but, River stopped me.
"Wait! Let me finish first! It's ruins the magic if you look now."
She sat me down in a chair and did my hair and makeup. She pulled my hair up into a bun adorned with little white flowers and did my makeup in silver hues. Then, she pulled green flats out of her bag.
"Green?" I said.
"Just trust me." She said.
I slipped them on.
They were really comfy and looked absolutely adorable with the dress.
She walked me over to a mirror.
"Now." She said.
I looked at this beautiful stranger in the mirror. I kind of reminded me of the first day I came here. When Pine showed me how different I looked with my powers. I teared up at the memory.
"No crying! You'll smudge my masterpiece!" She said. I held my tears in.
"I hope I can do this..." I said quietly.
"I know you can do this! Do you love Pine?"
"More than life."
"I could've told you this was gonna happen the first time I saw him look at you. It was instantaneous."
"You are the best friend I've been waiting for River."
"You're the best friend I found Lina."
We hugged each other tightly.
"One more thing." She said.
River reached into the bag and pulled out a box. She turned me back towards the mirror. She opened the box and took out a small pendant.
It was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen.
It was four little stones all joined together by silver.
One was red, one was green, one was white, and one was blue.
"It's like you want me to cry!" I exclaimed.
"Don't you dare!" She joked. "It's time. You ready?"
"As I'll ever be..."

"You sure it's straight?" Pine asked Breeze.
"Pine, it's fine." He said straightening his tie. "Nervous much?"
"Why would you say that?"
"Because I know you! You're like a brother to me." Breeze said. "Everything's going to be fine."
"Here she comes. You ready?"
"As I'll ever be..."

River and I walked up the steps to the cliff where Pine and Breeze were waiting.
My heart was beating so loud I thought my chest was going to explode.
I was holding River's hand so tight my knuckles were white but, she didn't complain.
Everything stopped when I saw him.
I don't remember the vows so much as I remember that neither of us messed up. I do however remember kissing him. The world faded away and it was just us. The looming dangers hovering over our heads disappeared in that moment. There were no responsibilities or duties. There was just us.
When we finished we looked at each other and smiled then laughed a bit.
"So..." Breeze said. "Movie back at the compound?"
"Yeah, okay."

"We did it." I said later that night.
Breeze and River had gone to bed but, Pine and I weren't tired.
"Yes we did." Pine said. He ran his hand through my hair and stared at me.
"What is it?" I asked.
He laughed. "You're so beautiful." He said.
"You already got me to marry you. You don't have to convince me anymore."
"I wasn't trying to convince you. I was being genuine." He said.
"Alright, what do you want?" I said.
"Nothing. I just want a relaxing night with my wife."
"Relaxing?"
"Well, I doesn't have to be relaxing." Pine laughed.
"Oh, you!"
We laughed.
"Come to bed?" He whispered.
"I thought you weren't tired." I said.
"And I thought you weren't either."
We laughed as we walked to the room and shut the door.
