18 "Wake up!" Ponyboy Curtis
I had come round to the Curtis house earlier than usual and Darry was just heading off to work but had called out to me that Pony was still in bed. I sat on the kitchen counter talking to Soda when we heard the door close behind Darry, only then had I realized that Soda wasn't going to work. "Soda shouldn't you be at work?" "Nope, it's closed today." I slid off the counter and my feet hit the floor. "Can you wake Pony? Breakfast is nearly ready." Soda cheered after me and I headed upstairs. At first I thought about waking him up nicely but soon decided against it as I lifted a pillow above my head. "Hey, Pony" His eyes fluttered open but he was too late and I brought the pillow down and hit him with it. "Hey, What the hell Mads?" I began laughing "Wake up!" He began to get up but kept whining, "Why it's Saturday?" I hit him once more before replying, "Pepsi says breakfast is ready, that's why."
