The trains were full, leaving me to walk back home in the pouring rain. I hate the rain. It's ruining my new, leather shoes. People are scuttling into buildings to shelter themselves from the rain.
I see Libby, Tobias' new girlfriend, across the street, dry underneath a large umbrella made for two. I was told it was going to rain today but it went against the forecast and every other scientific calculations. Just shows you that you may think one thing but nothing is quite set in stone. I watch Libby as she walks with a skip in her step. Her brown hair bounces as she does so. It's remarkable how she looks so much like Beatrice. Thinking about my sister leaves an aching in my chest. I miss her. If I could redo anything in life it would be making things right with Tris. If anyone deserved to die it was me. Maybe then I wouldn't continue to make mistakes over and over. The one thing that is different between Libby and Beatrice is that Libby is driven by energy created by others whereas my sister created her own. She was determined and stubborn whereas Libby looks as if she has never seen hardship in her life. But their appearances are uncanny.
My phone buzzes. Thinking it's someone from work- I still haven't told them where I am- I look down at the glowing screen. Miriam. I pocket my phone instantly with a visible flinch. I know I should answer but she's the reason why I escaped back to Chicago. The present is more overwhelming than the past.
I've been staying with Matt for the past week. After what happened all those years ago, he's the only one I've stayed in contact with. He's got a good heart that Matt. He forgave me quickly. I wonder still if he had known what I had done to Beatrice when I was apart of Erudite would he have forgiven me?
Libby saunters down the road, out of sight. I've been standing in the rain for such a long time my hair is sticking to my forehead. I continue my journey back to Matt's house. I wonder if I have enough cash on me to take a bus. I hurry my strides towards the bus shelter around the corner. The dim glow of the street lamps illuminates the shadow of a person through the glass of the bus shelter. I scan through the bus schedule to see when the soonest bus is. According to my watch the next bus should be here in ten minutes at 16:21. I have just enough to pay for the bus fare. I shuffle into the bus shelter and sit down on the slightly wet bench.
The person next to me takes in a sharp breath. I ignore them. Everyone has opinions about everyone else, I'm used to the odd person recognising me to be Caleb Prior, the betrayer. That's one of the reasons I left Chicago. I couldn't find a job without someone assuming I was going to rat them out. It's amazing how fast secrets travel throughout employers. They're almost as fast as wildfire. The other reason I left Chicago was that everywhere I had looked I saw my family. I saw my father in every street, giving out bread to the faction- sorry- homeless and my mother in every room that was filled with happiness and love. Don't get me started on Tris. I still see her wherever I am. It's as if she haunts me although it could be my guilt.
A heartbreaking, choked sob sounds from the person sitting next to me. I can't help but look this time, the Abnegation side of me, I thought I had lost, finding itself in me with ease once again. The first thing I take in about the young woman is that she's crawled into a ball, squashed against the glass as if she couldn't get further away from me. The second thing I notice are her pale blue eyes that I have gazed into countless times during my childhood and growing up. Her face is all too familiar. When it sinks in, I can't believe my eyes. The girl sitting next to me is none other than my dead sister, Tris.

Author's Note
Sorry for all the slow updates I have been focusing on my two new stories, a One Direction and 5SOS fanfiction. Please forgive me!
I can't believe this story is almost at 2k reads. It's truly unbelievable. Thank you to everyone who has read and who has voted because every read and vote means the world to me.
I've realised that I still have so much to say regarding Tris and Tobias' story as everyone is harbouring secrets now and I will NOT leave loose ends as I wrote this fanfiction to give myself and anyone else looking for it, closure because of the ending of Allegiant. I felt that the story couldn't just end there.
Look out for more regular updates because I've now found new inspiration to continue and finish :)
Thank you for everything,
