It all started with Molly having a nightmare and then not being able to get back to sleep. She woke up Alexis with a scream and I woke up the second I heard the two girls crying. I had ran up to them and they had both clung themselves to me and I had tried my best to stop them from crying. Alexis had stopped first, but there was something that kept Molly looking over our shoulders all the time and she just couldn't find her peace no matter how many times I told her she was safe from whatever was scaring her. We were in my living room, since I had thought she would calm down once she was out of Alexis's room, but to my disappointment she didn't.

"Alexis, I don't know what to do to make this better" I complained while I rocked the girl in my arms as she continued to cry.

She gave me a sorrowed look and I got an idea, an idea I shouldn't have but which I did have. I sent her away to go get my phone, which she did without questioning me. Once she got back and handed me my phone I put down Molly in the couch beside Alexis who immediately took Molly in her arms hugging her while watching me call the one person she would probably not expect me to call in this situation.

"Castle."

I thanked to god he answered.

"Hi, it's me! I need your help, can you come by?" I said before I could regret anything.

"Why? What's wrong? Is it Alexis?" he questioned and I could hear he was already putting on his shoes.

"No, but one of her new found friends, please hurry" I told him before we hung up and I sat down in the couch only to be attacked by a sobbing little girl who clung herself to me.

I rocked the girl and in Alexis's eyes I could see she was hurting just as much as I was of not being able to help the small girl in our custody.

"Schh you're okay, you're safe" I chanted in a whisper in the little girls hair as I tried to keep her calm.

"Do you want to watch a movie?" Alexis tried while taking Molly's hand to give it a squeeze.

I smiled at Alexis to show her my appreciation for her tries.

"Isie Ou" Molly cried out and I gave Alexis a questioning look since I had no idea what to make of that.

"I got it" she said giving Molly's hand one last hug before she jumped down the couch to put in a movie in the tv.

When the movie started I immediately understood what Molly had asked for, Inside Out. Suddenly, before Alexis managed to sit down again, someone knocked on the door. Alexis gave me a questioning look, silently asking if I knew who it was.

"Alexis, could you take over here? I'll go open the door, okay?" I said and she nodded as she jumped up to the couch and took over holding Molly.

I stood up and called out "coming" towards the door as I walked to it while glancing back at the two girls. I turned to the door as I stopped in front of it, this was it. I took a deep breath before I let my hand land on the handle and pushed it down. I opened the door up just a crack, enough for me to be able to see the man standing there, catching his breath.

"Hi" he said, suddenly seeming nervous.

"Hey, thank you so much for coming, were you followed?" I asked and he shook his head.

I quickly opened the door fully to grab him and pull him inside before someone could see him.

"Dad?" I heard one certain little girl's voice ask filled with shock.

I couldn't help but chuckle a bit as I saw the redhead lift from the couch just to run right into her dad who immediately caught her in his arms, pulling her up into a tight hug. I felt tears in my eyes as I watched the two have tears of happiness in theirs. I locked the door and went to the girl in the couch who observed the scene in front of her. I sat down and she snuggled close to me, to my relief she had stopped crying and was only sniffing now.
