Cha. 8

BRENDON'S POV

"So this whole place to ourselves for a few days" I said. 

"Yep" Kendall agreed. 

"Well I have this time off from the recording studio, gonna spend it with my favorite girl"

"Aww" she cooed. 

"Oh you thought I meant you?" I asked picking up one of my acoustic guitars and cuddling it "Well this is awkward"

Kendall smirked at me and I put down the guitar. 

"Oh you know I'm kidding" I said before kissing her on the cheek. 

"I know" she giggled "Want to go out for dinner?"

"Sure" I said "I picked up a little something for later too"

She ran to the bedroom to get dressed for dinner; I was already wearing a polo shirt and nice pants so I was good. She emerged in a red baby-doll top over a skirt and finished off with her knee high boots. She grabbed her purse and we left for dinner. 

"So where to my queen?" I asked. 

"Somewhere special" she said. 

"Hmmm" I said "How bout Parelli's? You love your pizza"

"I do" she smiled "Pizza it is"

I drove until we hit some traffic, gotta love SoCal. She rested her hand on mine while we waited and kind of played with my fingers. 

"What are you doing?" I asked her. 

"I don't really know" she smiled. 

Traffic finally moved and we made it to the restaurant. I gave the hostess my name and we sat down to wait for a table. Kendall interlocked her fingers with mine as I stared up at one of the TV screens in the restaurant. Our table was ready so we were led there. Kendall sat across from me and I just stared at her. 

"I love you" I said. 

"Love you too" she blew me a kiss before picking up her menu. 

A waiter brought us two glasses of water and Kendall ordered a soda too. We decided to split a cheese pizza, her favorite. When it got to our table we took slices and ate. She was giggling at I finished my piece. 

"What?" I asked her. 

"You have cheese hanging down from your chin" she laughed. 

I wiped it away with a napkin and she smiled. I loved her smile; the way her lips curved against her face was beautiful. We ate more until we were full and took the leftovers home with us. When we got there, I put the pizza in the fridge while she changed into pajamas. 

"So what is this surprise?" she asked. She was wearing one of my t-shirts and nothing else. 

"I rented a stack of horror movies and got chocolate peanut butter ice cream for you. A little celebration for while the happy couple is away" 

"AWWWWW BRENNYBOO" she leapt into my arms and I held her tight. "I love you"

"Stay here" I told her. I put her down on the couch and rushed into our room. I went into the walk in closet into the very back and picked up a cardboard box. I reached in and pulled out what I wanted. I walked back out to the living room and saw her still sitting there, still smiling. 

"Kendall, Kendy, KendyKins...I wasn't going to do this until we were on the road but tonight reassured mr that it's the right thing to do"

"Brenny what are you trying to say?" she asked. 

"It's not so much saying as asking..."

"Well what do you want to ask? You know I'll do anything for you"

"Kendall, will you marry me?"
