"I'm coming!" I yelled at the third honk in five minutes. Seriously dude, chill. I grabbed the money mom left me just in case before checking my reflection in the hallway mirror. I have to admit, I'm pretty proud of myself.
I chose a light blue strapless dress that conformed nicely to my figure. It had a built in bra which actually wasn't necessary but hey I'll take what I can get. My hair was down in soft chocolate waves with a waterfall braid down one side which took me two hours on YouTube to perfect, and my eyes 'popped' out with some eyeliner and mascara.
Simple, but effective.
Not waiting for another honk, I grabbed a jacket and my purse before running out. Caleb grinned when he saw me but didn't get out to open my door. I frowned, not wanting to sound snobbish but I'd actually come to enjoy his old-fashioned gestures.
We sped off and my hands quickly clammed up when I noticed he was going just a bit too fast.
"Hey, could you slow down a little?"
He frowned, "Why? No one's going to see us."
My mind went on high alert. Why was he suddenly acting like this? I regarded him for a bit before deciding I was just being uptight.
"You're right, sorry."
He smiled at me, showing teeth. I suspected it was supposed to be reassuring but I couldn't quite shake the strange feeling in my stomach that going to this party maybe isn't a good idea.

"Wow, this place is huge." I said as I openly gawked at the huge house. It was Victorian-ish in style and only had one story. But the thing was massive! The outside was painted an eggshell color with a black modern roof.
Caleb nodded and tugged me towards the house by my hand. "Yeah, Jake's parents are loaded."
"What do they do?" I asked curiously.
"His mom is a big-shot lawyer and his had is the CEO of some airline company. They're hardly ever home so he practically has parties like this every night."
Good for him. I replied snarkily in my head. In all honesty I was really tired and didn't want to be here anymore. But I sucked it up and dealt.
Teens milled about with red solo cups in hand that I was 100% were filled with alcohol. A giggling couple passed by only to collapse in a drunken heap and state making out a moment later, confirming my suspicion. The music that blasted from the house was so loud I was surprised that the whole town hadn't filed a complaint yet.
The inside out the house was just as modern as the outside. Burgundy couches and fancy plus rugs covered the wood flooring. Pieces of art that I was sure could pay for at least ten of my house covered a wall here and there. Surprisingly there weren't beer bottles or half open pizza boxes or garbage everywhere. Everything was fairly clean.
"Hey Caleb my man!" A male voice called out behind us.
We turned and what can only be described as the strangest guy I'd ever seen walked up. He was tall, and fairly good looking. But his hair was green. Not like that deep green that can be considered cool, but it was fucking neon, blow your pants off green. He also adorned a variety of piercings, a septum, an eyebrow, and I was pretty sure I saw a flash of a tongue ring there somewhere...and oh, did I mention he was shirtless and that his nipples were pierced?
