Chapter 9

Chapter 9-

“We’re going on a date.” I say to Luke as we exit the janitor’s closet. He looks at me with slightly red cheeks, cute.

He shakes his head. “I don’t want people knowing you’re gay.” He says, “Someone could hurt you.” I snort, as if anyone could lay a finger on me. He glares at me and I sigh.

“We’ll go to the next town over.” I say and he hesitates but nods anyway. “Okay, I’ll see you at 7 tonight.” I say and make my way to my next class.

I don’t look behind me like I know he wants me to and instead keep my eyes straight ahead. Now all I have to really worry about tonight is picking where to take him. I’m leaning more to the cinemas.

Once school finishes I’m out of the school grounds and home before anyone can even glace my way. I don’t know why I’m getting home this fast but I guess it couldn’t hurt any way.

“What the hell man?” Ben yells into the house ten minutes later.

I raise an eyebrow at him. “What?” I don’t have a clue what he thinks I did but whatever it was I didn’t do it, completely honest.

“You just ditched Seb and I,” Oh that’s what I forgot.

“Oops.” I say casually and go back to watching the TV.

He storms up to the TV and switches it off; I can just imagine steam coming from his ears he’s that angry.

“Look I forgot okay, I’ve just had lots of things on my mind this week.” I run a hand over my face. We’ve only been here for not even a week and already it’s been more eventful than a normal year in my life. Luckily tomorrows the weekend and tonight I’m going out with Luke for a fun day.

I glance at the clock, cursing under my breath. I have a tendency to drown everything out and daydream for hour on end. Which so happens that I have to do it today, making it already 6 pm; Only one hour before I’m meant to leave with Luke.

As fast as I can I have a shower and get ready. Once I’m changed and clean it only occurs to me how hungry and weak I’m feeling. I ignore the wave of dizziness the takes me over and instead grab my keys, wallet and make a mad dash for the door, straining on time. I’m already 5 minutes late. Ben always complains that I take longer than a girl to get ready, Ben doesn’t lie.

I cross the road and knock once on Luke’s wooden door. He answers straight away, scaring me I jump back and quickly righted my balance.

Just looking at him then takes my breath away and without knowing it my body automatically leans forwards and I kiss him straight on the lips. It’s a simple kiss that ends before it really begun but it send shocks through me.

“Ready to go?” I whisper in his ear and nibble slightly at his earlobe. He nods and moans but quickly cuts it off by biting his lip.

I pull away and drag him by his hand to the car. Luckily his brother turned up at my house before so we don’t have to worry about him. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen but turns out Ben offered to look after him and Seb. Sometimes he really is great to have around… other times, well let’s just say that’s a different story.

 I hop in the car after opening the door for Luke, whose face went bright red which I found cute. I smirk slightly and he slaps me on the arm. “Don’t laugh at me; it’s embarrassing when people open doors for me, okay?” He pouts and I laugh slight but when he turns his glare towards me I turn it into a cough. He turns to the road and glares at nothing in particular. “Can we just go already?” He sighs.
