"thanks for standing up for me." she said and hugged him."no problem." he smiled. "what does-"
"she's right." she blurted. "you shouldnt hang out with me. im a nerd."
he frowned. "no she isnt. i hang out with you because i like you. i dont care if youre a nerd or not. you shouldnt believe anything she says."
"y-you like me?" her heart exploded with happiness but she hid it.
he gave a lopsided grin. "of course thats the only thing you heard."
"so do you?" she was getting giddy.
"ill tell you if you do."
"of course i do. i like me too." she grinned.
"im serious."
"so am i." she laughed. "just kidding. of course i like you too."
he hugged her. "so what did she mean about knowing a lot about you?"
she knew this was coming. "oh thats nothing."
but deep in her heart, she knew it was more everything than nothing.
