:Okay Champ, are you ready?:

~Well duh.~ The Meditite rolled his eyes, crossing his arms as I took my position on my own side of the battle field.

With a sigh, I nodded to Milly who had taken her place on the opposite side of the field, ready for battle.

Milly nodded back, smiling brightly as she threw out her Pokémon. "Whirlpool, centre stage." She called, mimicking her early style of throwing her water type from its Pokéball.

~Poliwhirl.~ The Tadpole Pokémon gurgled as he took shape on his side of the field.

Champ rolled his eyes. ~This is going to be to easy.~

"You take the first move Paige." Milly called to me.

I nodded to show I heard, going over the moves Jake's Pokéqdex had announced the Champ knew. :Okay Champ, start with Confusion!:

My Meditite snorted before carrying out my command. His eyes glowed with a soft blue psychic energy, forming a telekinetic link with Whirlpool's aura, using it to tighten and compress on the Tadpole Pokémon.

"Shake it off Whirlpool, use... Well, Whirlpool!" Milly called confidently.

~Poliwhirl.~ Her Pokémon called in response, raising his hands in front of him as tornado of water formed between his gloved hands.

The swirly shot out at Champ, trapping him in a vortex of water. He cried out slightly, falling to his knees when it faded, water dripped from his shiny, red and white body. Standing back on his own two feet, snorting in anger as he charged in on Whirlpool his fist coated with the dark energy of a Feint without me telling him to.

:Champ, you're doing it wrong, you're meant to be doing what I say!: I called out to him but he completely brushed me off.

Whirlpool easily dodged the attack, slamming his boxing glove covered fist into his back when Champ had been caught off balance. My Pokémon cried out in pain and I quickly raised my closed fist into the air, a sign for both Jake and Milly that I wished to stop the battle immediately since my previous method was simply running into the battlefield could possibly lead to an accident. The brunette, seeing my signal, returned Whirlpool to his Pokéball as soon as Champ tried again to attack the water type Pokémon.

My Meditite was furious with the interruption to his battle, glaring at Milly and shouting words that I'd never even heard before in her direction. I raced into the battle feild, kneeling by his side in attempt to talk to my newest team member. :Champ--: I was quickly cut off when he shoved me in the chest.

~Why'd you call off the battle!?~ He yelled, furious.

The surprise from the push caught me more off guard then the strength did, making me fall back and scamper away from him as Samurai quickly appeared between us, shouting at Champ for laying his hand on me. The only Pokémon I'd ever really feared was Nicole's and Ghetsis's, any other creature I'd met I'd always loved and wanted to get to know, but I couldn't honestly say that I didn't have the slightest bit of fear towards Champ at that moment.

Milly helped me to my feet, asking if I was alright in a concerned voice. I nodded lightly, more shaken then I was hurt, watching as Gardenia attempted to break up the fight between her brother and fellow team mate, but while Samurai was more willing to drop the fight, Champ was not, throwing insults at his opponent with a disgusted snort.

It was up to Gardenia to lead away Champ while Samurai came to my side, concern showing in his ruby red eyes. ~Are you alright Paige?~

:Y-yeah, I'm fine Samurai:
