I had to escape. I had to give myself the space I need in order to think. But I couldn't stay there any more letting everybody talk bad about me. Saying what I can and can't do.
What was there to think about? Whether I liked it or not I had no choice on the matter. It's not like I can defy my new Alpha that chose me as his mate. I should feel flattered that an Alpha wants me to run by his side as Luna and his mate. But my minds blank. Whirring around, trying to come up with a single emotion. At least one. Or a thought on what's going on.
Right now I was running through the forest, my tears drying on my face from the wind only for more tears to fall. My vision was slightly blurry but I knew the way to my house from the forest by heart. But why do I want to go home for? There's nothing there but a empty house and silent room.
So without thinking twice I jumped in the air shifting into my golden wolf, my now shredded clothes falling to the ground. I knew the perfect place to think but the lake I wanted to go to was on the other side of the pack house. I turned around and when I was I was close to the place I had ran from, I went around slowly. Stretching my werewolf hearing to the farthest it could go. I heard the arguing again but this time it was worse. With me no longer there, they didn't have to watch what they say.
"Alpha, please think clearly. She has a defective wolf. Believe me when I tell you she is not fit to be a Luna. She shouldn't even be a werewolf"
Not wanting to hear a anymore, I ran. My body was vibrating and it was then I realized I was growling. Well not me but Shelly. Her aura growing with her anger. She was pulling me to go back and teach that person just how NOT defective my wolf was. Butt as much as I wanted to do just that, I couldn't. That would only give them more a reason to object to me being their Luna.
Did I want to be Luna?
Did I want to be the Alpha's mate?
I ran and ran until I finally reach the lake, the place I had been attacked. The place I had realized I wasn't some helpless wolf. It's always been a favorite place of mine. I laid next to the lake, my head resting on my front paws. I looked at the moon and let my body flood with the peace that surrounds this lake. I just need to forget. At least for a little, about everything going on.
Later. Later, I decide, I'll think of the situation that plagues my present and future.
