Sometimes You Just Need Something Convincing

I made my way along a random street, unsure what to do next.

I really needed a Plan B!

"Ally wait," a voice called out.

I stopped and waited.

"I thought Christopher was keeping an eye on you," The girl said,

"He was," I laughed.

Carrie giggled back and rolled her eyes.

"Anyway, how did u find me?" I wondered,

"Well I heard a massive bang and found the supermarket had been destroyed. At that stage I didn't know where to go, until I saw that trail," Carrie pointed towards trail currently following me.

As I had been making my way to somewhere, I had been brushing myself of from the supermarket crash and that led a trail of dust and dabri.

"Okay, that makes sense," I nodded whilst pulling a piece of wall from my hair.

Carrie just smiled at me as we stood their awkwardly.

"So where shall we look for Liam?" I asked her,

"Umm I don't know," Carrie stated simply.

All of a sudden, the ground shook. Then started pulsating.

"I'm not about you, but I think we should follow that," I gasped.

Nodding, Carrie and I raced to wear the ground was bubbling.

"There he is," Carrie pointed out.

Liam was just over a small bridge, that jumped over a long waterfall.

Carrie and I jogged across the bridge; still with no plan.

That's was when another pulse, rippled through the earth and ripped the bridge in two.

Spinning round, half the bridge was gone, and so was Carrie.

"Carrie," I screamed out and raced towards the edge of the bridge.

Looking down I saw Carrie had managed to grab onto a thin wire; hanging below the broken bridge.

I tried to find a way to rescue her.

Noticing a difficult way down.

"No Ally, stay there," Carrie cried out to me,

"I can't I have to rescue you," I yelled back at her,

"You can't, you will fall and die. Get Liam to stop this, he can help me," The young girl told me,

"But..." I tried,

"Go before I fall," Carrie interpreted.

I hesitated before legging it towards him.

"Liam," I called out, "Liam."

The boy turned round to face me.

"It's so nice for you to join me," he smirked, "Are you going to try and still my powers again."

He laughed as if he had no care in the world.

"No I am not going to take away your power. Keep it and see if I or anyone care. Be afraid of yourself forever," I empathised the last point.

Turning up him nose, Liam used his power to pick up a car across the street.

He aimed it at me.

"Just stop this," I begged,

"And why would I do that," he aimed the car at me,

"Because of you don't you are going to lose your youngest sister," I stated,

"What are you talking about?" He lowered his arm,

"Those power wave things you sent, destroyed that bridge," I pointed at the bridge and Liam nodded,

"I know, so what," he said, obviously impatient,

"Carrie and I was crossing it, she was caught in the falling bridge and is now hanging on for deal life. Now go, stop this madness and save her," I finished.

Liam dropped the car; where it was and his face softened.

He then raced towards the bridge. I followed him.

"Where is she?" He demanded,

"She was one there, I promise," I pointed at the now empty piece of wire that floated aimlessly in the wind.

"So where is she?" He spat,

"I don't know," I leaned forward trying to get a better look. Maybe she climbed up? Or found another way?

Liam stuck his arm out in front of me.

Glancing over to him, he muttered, "Don't fall."

I nodded, "Maybe she climbed up and is now back home?"

Jumping up, Liam smiled and flicked his wrist.

As easy as that, the town started to fix itself and repair the damage.

After the bridge had been fixed, we made our way across it.

Back to the Devilation Household; in silence.

As soon as we opened the door Josie and Charles embraced their eldest son.

That was when I was escorted upstairs; away from everyone else.

As soon as we got into his room, he lock the door.

"I'm sorry," I apologised.

Christopher turned away from the door and came up, inches away from me.

"Ally, if this was a cliché book I would kiss you right now, but I would rather not have my idiotic brother go on another rampage," he admitted.

Unsure how to responded to take, I just stood there pathetically.

"So I am going to ask you two questions," he carried on, not really expecting an answer - anyway -, "What the hell were you thinking and what the hell happened."

It actually took a long time to explain everything to Christopher. Especially since he looked in the kind of mood that you do not want to miss out a single detail.

He consider what I had said before leaving the room.

I decided it was best not to leave until he told me to, so I made my self comfortable.

I lost track of how long Christopher had been gone for, but he came back.

"What are you still doing here?" He jumped,

"I thought it was best not to leave," I shrugged,

"Well I'm glad your hear," he handed me a glass of water.

I took a gulp; not realising how thirsty I truly was.

"What is it?" I asked,

Simply, Christopher replied, "Carrie is missing."
