An Unfolding Tale

Chapter 9

I made an attempt to call Derin, but he didn't answer. I called him for almost fifteen to twenty times, but I didn't get an answer.
I searched for Kevin's number and gave him a call.

"Hey" I said as he picked up my call.

"Hi hon" he replied.

"How's you?" I asked as I rested my head on the wall.

"I'm good but what's up? How you calling now?" he asked.

"Well I want to meet" I replied as I took a deep breath.

"Well now? Ok" he said as he smiled.

"So you can pick up me at...?" I paused as I expected him to complete my sentence.

"Twenty minutes. I'll be there in twenty minutes. I'll pick you from the front of your mansion door so be ready" he said.

"Ok I'll be ready" I said and then I hung the phone up.

Kevin and I have been friends forever. He has been always there when ever I needed him.

I got up from my bed and started dressing up my hair. I opened my hair and brushed them. I then let my hair fall, open.
I then suddenly heard my phone ringing. It was Kevin calling. I knew he was calling me to ask me to get down.

I pulled my phone inside my pocket and pulled my boots on and made my way towards the door.

"Mom I'm going with Kevin I'll be back in an hour. Bye love you" I said as I opened the door and walked out. I walked out of the mansion and saw his car standing across the street. I carefully crossed the street and sat in his car.

"Hey!" I said as I wrapped him in a hug.

"Yo baby" he said as he hugged me back.

"So hows you?" I asked as I realised him.

"Well I'm good as I said earlier. So what's wrong?" he asked as he made a worried face.

"Well nothing I was just feeling a little down so I thought you can cheer me up like old times" I said as I smiled at him.

"Ok. So we can go and have an ice cream if you say" he said as he gave ma a sweet look.

"Yeah we can do that so let's go" I said as my eyes shined.

"Cool" he said as he started the car and drove us to an ice parlor.
As we reached there he got down and bought me a chocolate browny, and a butter soch for himself.

"Cheers!" he said as he gently struck his ice cream cone with mine.

"Cheer!" I said as I smiled.

The rest of the time we keep on refreshing our childhood memories. We kept on smile and with him I totally forgot about Derin.

After ice cream he took me on a long drive. We drove through the out skirts and through the sun raining gold on us. I felt the breeze touching my face. Then Kevin suddenly stopped the car.

"What's wrong?" I asked as I looked at him.

"Here's a bar, so do you wanna stop for a couple of drinks?" he asked.

"Here's a bar?!" I asked as I got wild with excitement.

"Yeah it's a more of a secret bar, so do you wanna grab a couple of drinks?" he asked.

"Yeah sure!" I replied as a big smile crossed my face.

"So come down" he said as he opened the door and got down I followed him. He went across the street and stopped in front of a man hole.
