Crush on A Cop

~~Part 5~~

SOOOO Sorry its been over a month since an update!! I have stuff wrote down on paper and saved on my phone but my laptop is soo slow at times and we've had a water leak that just happen to be under the desk the desk top was on, but anyway here is an update, and soon it's going to get a little steamy.

"I'm sorry about that back there." I say as Brogan starts the truck. He reaches over and pats my knee, "It's perfectly alright Devyn, gave us a reason to head out early, and I should have asked Weston before hand." I sigh, "You shouldn't have to ask Dad first, they told me to my own thing, whatever  makes me happy, but after Brandyn came back three years ago, he has been more over protective of me and Ashlyn. I know he means well, but I can damn well take care of myself." As I glance over I notice the corner of Brogan's mouth turn up. "He really does mean well Dev, I know he does, I've heard him talk about stuff he's seen when all of us guys go out, if he hasn't told you what happened while he was gone, I'm sorry, but he will open up eventually." I chew on that for a minute, "What do you mean?" Brogan glances away from the road, looking over at me, "I cant tell you Devyn," He places his hand on my shoulder, "I'm sorry I really am, I shouldn't have even said that much."

"Okay." I sigh "You do know you are going the wrong way to the get to the ice cream shop right?" He laughs "No we're not, just taking a short cut that Marcus doesn't know about. You really hate to lose don't you?"  "Yep!"  I smile as we pull into the parking lot. "See we're here, and they are no where in sight." I laugh, "I guess someone else doesn't like to lose either?" "You're right, I don't like to lose either.  So Lexus made up that whole story back there?" I laugh and  smile with pride "Oh yeah She did. Brandyn has always saw straight through our B.S. stories, even when our parents didn't. Back in high school we would skip school, and only time we got caught was by Brandyn and he ratted us out, didn't do him much good, we had a full proof story, Levi caught us once but he didn't care." I notice a car pulling in, its Lexus and Marcus, we hop out and come around to the back of the truck, Brogan whispers, "How?" I smile up at him "Top Secret." I laugh, "This means y'all are buying."

Lexus crosses her arms over her chest, "NO FAIR! Y'all Cheated!" "Calm down Lex, he's a cop, he knows all the back roads, and short cuts, you should have thought of that before you opened your mouth." Marcus says giving her a pat on the butt and leaning around to give her a kiss. "Yeah yeah." Lexus mutters as  we walk into the shop. The young lady behind the counter smiles at us, "Hello, what can I get Yall tonight?" "Give us just a second please?" Lexus ask. "Sure thing just let me know when y'all are ready." I smile "Sure thing, thank you hun." Marcus and Lexus talk about what they are going to get Brogan leans in, "You want to share or separate?" "I'm up for sharing, I was thinking a hot fudge cake with pecans, if that sounds good to you." Brogan licks his lips, "Sounds amazing!" "Y'all ready Dev?" Lexus ask " We sure are, whenever y'all are ready Lex."  Marcus starts to order theirs and Brogan waits to order ours as me and Lex go to a booth.

"Dev, Levi texted me. Said he's gone to see Gretchen and that none of them knows that they are dating." Lexus looks at me worried. I look at her in shock, "What? Brogan and Dalton don't know? How long have they been together?" "I don't know, he just told me." She looks worried I pat her hands and groan. "We've had my brother ready to kill Brogan, and now we're going to have Brogan and Dalton wanting to kill YOUR brother. Life is so unfair." Lex nods her head, "Tell me about it." "Well we will tell y'all this ice cream looks pretty good." Brogan says as him and Marcus start to take a seat. "Oh this looks awesome!" me and Lex say in unison.

We carry on with small conversation while eating, then a thought hits me out of no where. "Lex, what if  their was another waitress?" "But why? We handle everything pretty damn good ourselves?" "I know, I know, but what about like this morning, we could have used another set of hands, couldn't call Logan, cause shes gone to see family, and plus another person would mean we both would get a chance to take turns at having a morning or night off.  I know you two would love to be able to go out more besides having food from work all the time, and start planning on that wedding and set a date." I say with a wink. Lex smiles glances over at Marcus, "Only if hiring another person is what you want Dev, we was planning on just going to the court house and getting married since we're both always so busy." "Like hell! I know how much you've looked forward to this! You'll get your wedding sweetie. I'd be a shitty best friend if  I didn't insist!" She squeals "Devyn, you serious? You are completely a-okay with us having the big wedding AND going on the week long honeymoon and everything?" Marcus asks sounding about as excited as Lexus. "DUH! I want yall to be happy, and I'll even make that wedding cake yall have talked about, but that stays between us three. No body can know I'm the one baking the cakes at Rummy's, the whole town goes on about the cakes anyway." Brogan coughs, "Wait, wait,wait. YOU make the cakes? All of them?" I nod my head smiling, "Mhmm." "Red velvet? That triple chocolate? The strawberry?" Each one Brogan names off I shake my head yes. "Yes, Brogan, I make the cakes, It's a Rummy's secret. The 'Home Made' sign doesn't lie, I make all the desserts." Brogan smiles, "Well damn, woman, you are pretty amazing!" "Damn straight she is!" Lexus says laughing. "OH, hush you guys, Lex you know its just away for me to cool off." "Yeah, i know, I'm sure we'll have a couple of cakes tomorrow after that with Brandyn." " Oh you are defiantly right, but I need a few things from the store." Marcus clears his throat and leans forward, "Well Brogan, why don't yall two get on out of here and take this woman to the store so she can make those cakes, and I'll catch the bill since y'all did beat us here?" Brogan looks over at me, "Shall we?" "Let's go, I'm guessing some one is wanting a coconut cake since they are suggesting we head off?" Me, Lexus, and Marcus laugh, "Yeah,   coconut cake sounds damn good for tomorrow." Marcus says.
