Unlike "ser", "estar" is used to describe location, health, or any condition(feelings, emotion) that is only temporary.
Yo estoy: I am
Tú eres: You are
Él/Ella está: He/She is
Nosotros/Nosotras estamos: We are
Ellos/Ellas: They are
EX:"estar" is commonly use to indicate location.
¿Dónde está el baño?
= Where is the bathroom?
El baño está delante de mi cuarto.
= The bathroom is located in front of my room.
¿Dónde está mi carro?
= Where is my car?
Tú carro está detrás del (de + el) restaurante llamado La Cocina.
= Your car is located behind the restaurant called The Kitchen.
