It happened so fast... He said he needed some air and then gunshots and, imminently, silence. A deafening silence. He never came back alive, but he returned dead. I've never experienced that kind of pain, shooting the one I loved.

When all the shit hit the fan, I was alone. My family hated me and I hated them nothing more to that short. My friends just completely disappeared, more than likely high as a fuckin' kite and dead nearly instantly. I've stayed alive for, probably, five and a half- maybe six years now. I ran into a small subdivision called Alexandria in the beginning of this shit, blooded and looking insane. Here I met a woman named Deanna and her husband, Reg. Together, along with the rest of our community, we built up walls and assigned jobs to those who could help out. I, however, didn't want to sit and pretend the world wasn't a hellhole. I became the supply runner and I was the one who actually killed those things. The walkers.
Things here aren't all that bad, I mean as soon as I met Jack things started getting even better. This relief was short lived. After a year of our romance, he was killed by a walker. A bite to the neck.. The worst part? I had to put him down.
I guess things have to look up eventually. Maybe you his time it'll last, but in this world? Never get your hopes high, your chance of dying will always be higher.
