(y/n) POV

flashback

"You know I'll never leave you, right?" Jack smiled, his glistening blue eyes twinkling in the sun. I shrugged slightly and leaned back on the bench, "I mean I guess. It's hard to believe things where anything can happen nowadays." He nodded slightly and kissed my forehead. "Well, my love, when the earth stops orbiting the sun, then I will stop being able to love you." Though I was confused by his statement, I nodded along and frowned as he stood up. "I'll be back in an hour, two tops. Okay? I've gotta do some stuff." He gave me a reassuring smile and headed off.
An hour turned into two then three. And the hours slowly turned into days.
"Jessie, it's been a week. He said it would only take an hour or two. Where could he be?" I frowned and groaned as she chased after me. I was headed for the gates to go looking for him, she wasn't in agreement with this idea. "Don't go. Not yet. We'll think of something. Get a group together or get you a car. Alright?" She said with a stern look spread across her face as she cut me off. "One more day, Jess. If he's not back by tomorrow, I'm going out there." She gave me a slow nod after a minute of debating and pulled me back to the house, my gaze, however, was fixated on the gates.
Just as I expected, he didn't come back. I didn't sleep either so as soon as dawn broke I was out of the house and climbing over the wall to get out. The morning air was crisp and chilled, I was able to see my breath and feel the goosebumps running up my spine. Crutches of sticks beneath my feet startled me every now and then, but I haven't heard any walkers or anything out of the ordinary. I continued to walk for hours, the sun showed it was about mid noon by now. I sighed and wiped a stray tear from my cheek. 'He probably left because you're so stupidly annoying.' I thought to myself, kicking at my feet. Then I heard it, a loud growl. Quickly, I spun towards the sound, pulling my silenced gun from my belt. There he was. My boyfriend.
Dead.
His once blue eyes now a rotted yellow. His jaw snapping at me, blood splattered all across his face. A large bite taken from my loves neck, his stomach pulled open. I started to shake and set my hand on his- it's chest to push it back, I bit roughly on my lip and pressed the gun to his head. I squeezed my eyes shut and let out a soft whimper as I pulled the trigger...
*end*
I widened my eyes at the flashback, the brightness of my surroundings had blinded me. I panicked slightly and grabbed aimlessly around, firmly gripping onto what felt like a wrist. I closed my eyes once again and cringed at the seething pain that rushed to my head. I let out an exasperated sigh and slowly reopened my eyes. "You alright?" A distant voice spoke between breaths, fear was easily heard as the person was breathing heavily. I slowly nodded, "Y-Yeah, I'm fine." As my vision finally focused, I turned to the source of the voice. Glenn. My hand still roughly grabbing his wrist. "Oh, my god. I'm really sorry." I frowned and quickly pulled my hand away. He let out a soft sigh of relief and leaned forward to me, his elbows resting on his knees and a cheeky smile across his face. "Don't worry about it. I thought you were dead or something and about to take a big bite outta me." "No, no. Last time I noticed, I was alive." I laughed softly and hoarsely, watching as he handed me a small glass of water. "You're stuck here for a while. You've probably got a concussion of some sorts." I nodded and pushed my hair from my eyes. There was only one thing that puzzled me about this entire situation.
"Why are you here, Glenn?"
