My clothes were laid out last night, my book bag was packed, and I went to sleep extra early, so that I could wake up even earlier .
It was my first day of kindergarten and I couldn't be anymore excited .
"Wake up!" I shouted while jumping on my dad .
"I'm up ! I'm up!" He laughed .
"First day of school ," I stated.
"So maybe we should get you ready ," he said while lifting me up ."God you're so big; promise me you'll always need me ."
"I promise ," I said with my pinky out .
"Okay , let's go get you ready for school ," daddy smiled.
He helped me brush my teeth and get me dressed, but one thing had not been tackled yet and that was my hair .
"Alright , I got this ."
"Come on, daddy ," I huffed .
"Okay , jeez ."
He brushed my hair into a bun.
"Okay let's go ," I stated .
"You're the boss ," he chuckled .
He carried me out to the car . We were finally making our way to the big elementary building .
"Are you excited ?" Daddy asked .
"Yes- There ! " I shouted when I saw the building .
He parked the car and helped me out .
"Look over there , Julianna ," he said while pointing .
"Ben!" I shouted while running over to my best friend .
"Julie!"
He held his arms open for me and I jumped into them causing is both to fall down .
"Ouch ." We laughed .
"Hey, Jack ," Maya said .
"Hey ," he smiled . "Baby girl, let's go."
"I don't need you , daddy ," I giggled while grabbing Ben's hand .
"I was going to walk you to class -"
"Let's go, Ben ," I exclaimed , running towards the school door .
I suddenly stopped running, causing Ben to stop .
"What ?" He asked .
"I'll be back," I stated.
I turned around and ran back to my dad.
"What's up ?" He asked when he saw me .
I jumped in his arms and gave him a kiss.
"I love you ."
