Chapter 5

Josh's POV

Sunlight shined through the blinds, hitting my face. I tried to sit up but stopped when I realized I had extra weight on my chest. I looked down to find Leo's head laid on my chest. I could tell he was still asleep, the steady rise and fall of his chest confirming my assumption. I looked over to the clock and noticed it was four in the morning so I listened to his breathing until I fell back asleep.

Blake's POV

I was losing it. It had only been two days but I was losing it, just like my father lost it when my mom was killed. I was pacing back and forth in the room Leo always stayed in when the doors swung open and Haley came flying in. She landed face first on the floor and I saw a little blood come out from her nose. The two men who threw her in nodded their heads at me and closed the door. Haley threw back her red hair and stared up at me.

"What the fuck do you want?" she asked, her tone displaying pure rage.

I didn't answer, I kicked her in the stomach and sent her flying into the wall across the room. She screamed in pain and coughed up some blood.

"Where did he go?" I asked as I moved closer to her.

"Who?" she asked as she wiped blood from her mouth.

"Leo," I said as I bent down to be eye level with her.

Haley didn't say anything for awhile, then she looked up at me, "Why would you want to bring him back here if you care for him?" she asked, her face looked like she was barely containing her anger towards me right now.

I didn't answer her because I was in shock of her question so she continued, "He has been raped almost every day by his father and ours because they lost their mates, if you care for him why do you want to bring him back?" she asked.

"Because I need him, he was made for me," I answered sternly.

"Then why wasn't he your mate?" she spat at me.

I grabbed her by her hair, pulling her head back, ”He will be my mate but I need to know where he is first, so where is he?" I asked, beginning to lose my patience.

She didn't answer me so I pulled her hair more and she finally said, "All I know is he is headed north to find a pack."

I dropped her and walked to the door but not before I said, "Oh, father and I both agreed that you deserved the same punishment, so have fun living like Leo did."

I walked out of Leo's old house and ran to the pack house. I raced up to the Alpha's office, which would be mine soon, and looked for the maps of all pack territories. I quickly found the maps and placed them on the oak desk. I traced a line from our pack territory and to all the territories north of us. The closest territory to ours was the Midnight Sun Pack. Looks like I'm making a little visit to this pack first.

Josh's POV

I woke up again but this time I didn't feel the weight of Leo's head on my chest. I looked down and Leo was no longer there, the spot his body had previously occupied was cold. I shot up straight from the bed and looked around. I didn't see him so I listened in on the bathroom but heard nothing. I was starting to panic. I quickly got up, slid on gym shorts, and then sniffed for his scent. It was faint in the room so he had been gone for a while. I looked over at the clock and it was now six in the morning. I opened my door swiftly and smelt around. His scent got stronger as I made my way to the kitchen. I rounded the corner to enter the kitchen when I saw Leo cooking in the kitchen still wearing my oversized shirt. Good lord, he was so short. I chuckled quietly and then went and wrapped my arms around his waist. He tensed up but relaxed when he heard me say, "Where did you go this morning?"

"I went for a run, my wolf wanted out," he replied as he continued to cook the eggs.

"Why didn't you wake me, I would have went with you," I kind of whined to him.

He giggled a little and said, "You looked so peaceful asleep so I didn't want to bother you."

"You can always bother me." I said as I gave him a kiss on his check before unwrapping my arms from his waist.

I saw him blush and could almost hear a whine from the loss of contact. I tried to grab a piece of bacon but my hand was quickly slapped by a spatula and I looked up to see an angry Leo. I put my hands up in surrender and he pointed towards the table, "Go set the table now." he said tapping his foot impatiently. I walked over to the cabinets with the plates and other utensils to set the table. I quickly set up the table and walked back over to Leo who was placing the eggs in a giant bowl.

"This looks great," I said as Leo picked up the eggs and bacon to put them on the table. I grabbed the biscuits, gravy, and all the other breakfast food he made and laid them on the table. I started to hear people wake up and the food luring them into the kitchen. Leo must have noticed because I saw him head towards the door to leave. I grabbed his wrist and turned him around.

"Where are you going," I whined as I wrapped my arms around his waist and pulled him closer.

"I'm not good with groups of people, I'm just going to go upstairs," he said as he looked up at me with his big blue eyes.

"No, you've barely eaten and you are going to have to meet the pack eventually," I said as I rested my forehead on his.

He let out a breath and said, "Fine, but let me at least go put on some pants and you need a shirt."

I laughed and then to mess with him said, "Why, I love to show all this off."

I heard a low growl and then I felt him jump on me. I grabbed him by the waist to balance him and myself while he wrapped his legs around me.

"Please just put on a shirt," he whined as he used the pouty puppy face.

I melted when I saw his lip quiver and told him sure. A grin quickly replaced his pouty face and I carried him up to my room. I sat him down and he quickly slipped on a pair of shorts from the bag he had. I grabbed a clean shirt from the floor and turned to him.

"I'm glad you're talking to me," I said as I walked up to him.

"I'm glad I'm talking to you too, I feel complete," he said with a giggle.

I took a chance and planted my lips on his. At first he didn't responded but then he kissed me back. After a while he pushed back so he could breathe. He didn't look up at me but I could see his cheeks turning red.

"Come on, we better go before they eat all our food," I said as I took his hand in mine and guided him to the kitchen.

As soon as we entered the kitchen, everyone's eyes were on us. I felt Leo tense up and I squeezed his hand to reassure him. I walked over to the head of the table and Leo took the seat to my left. Kalie was beside him and they both looked at each and smiled.

"Dig in everyone," I said and automatically everyone was digging into the food. 

I quickly made Leo and I both plates. Mine had a lot more food on it than Leo's did, but he said he didn't want much. Everyone was eating when my future third in command, Liam Grey, asked, "So who made the food?"
I pointed my fork towards Leo, who was eating some eggs at the moment.

"Well thank you, Luna," Liam said as he moved his black hair out of his face; Leo looked like he almost spit out his food when the word 'Luna' came out of Liam's mouth.

"Don't call me Luna, please, I'm far from that, just call me Leo," Leo replied, looking pointedly at Liam.

The conversation died after that but others continued to talk. I noticed Leo listening to someone when he jumped up from the table.

"Leo what's wrong?" I asked just barely managing to grab his wrist before he stormed off.

"I.. I need to go for a run," he said as he tore his wrist from my grasp and flew out the door. The room fell completely silent and then my parents entered the kitchen.

"Who just left the room and who made all this food?" my mother asked with a shocked expression on her face.

No one spoke until Sarah the Slut herself stood up and said, "Oh I think Josh can explain this all to you."

I growled at her as she left the room with a smirk on her face. I looked back up at my parent's and thought, 'Well this is going to be fun.'
