Leo's POV
I woke up and the room was completely dark. Damn, how long was I asleep? I got up off the bed and looked around the dark room. The only light that filled the room was from the moon. I walked over to the window and looked up at the full glistening moon. Wait a minute full moon? I looked up at the moon, confirming my fears, it was full.
"Oh shit!" I yelled whispered as I ran to the bathroom.
I turned the light on in the bathroom, pulled the collar down on my shirt, and looked for the mark. Nothing was there. it was just my plain light tan skin. I slammed my hands down on the counter. Blake was going to try to mark me tonight. I started to panic, just thinking about Blake marking me. I could feel the vomit rising in the back of my throat. I ran to the toilet and threw up whatever I had in my stomach. Once I had stopped, I looked back in the mirror and to the spot Josh's mark should be.
Suddenly a growl ripped through the air, and my whole body shivered under the growl. I couldn't mistake that growl for anybody else. I quickly ran back to the window in Blake's room and a large shadow with red eyes appeared from the trees. I held my breath as the wolf looked up at me and gave me a weird looking grin. I laughed a little and blew the wolf a kiss, knowing that it was Josh here to take me away from Blake. I was so caught up in the moment I didn't notice someone had came into the room until a hand went over my mouth and I was pulled back into the darkness.
Josh's POV
My paws were beating fast against the ground as I made my way towards Blake's territory. I felt the wind shift when we reached the territory line. I looked around and saw guards posted by the tress. I knew Blake would do this. I knew he wouldn't fight alone. He was such a baby. I growled lowly and then mind linked my brother, 'You ready Marcus?'
'Time to get your mate,' Marcus said back to me.
I growled, signaling my team to follow, and then we attacked the guards. The guards were easy to take out, they became very confused when they were being attacked from each side. I tossed one of Blake's pack members to the side carelessly and sniffed for Leo. I caught his scent faint, but still there and followed it. His scent landed me right outside of Blake's pack house and I growled loudly, signaling that I was here. I was about to go find Blake, when I saw someone appear in the window above the house. I looked up slowly and locked eyes with Leo. I gave him a wolfish grin, I saw him laugh, and then he blew me a kiss. I was going to shift to talk to him, when Leo was grabbed, and pulled away from my view.
Panic swept through me, and I felt my wolf trying to take full control. I pushed him back as far as I could and then sniffed for Leo. I felt his fear sweep through my body and I focused harder on finding him. I felt my group follow behind but I wasn't worried about them. I only wanted what was MINE, I wanted Leo. I growled when I stopped at an abandoned shack. Guards surrounded the shack and I could smell Blake and Leo inside the shack.
Kalie's POV
Josh had locked me up in my room before he left. I was commanded not to leave my room. Psshh like that will happen. I'm a teenager. I could probably break out of jail if I wanted to. Speaking of breaking out, I had already opened up the door and stealthily made my way down to the kitchen. Man was I hungry, this baby is giving me extremely odd cravings. How about pickles and ice cream. I looked through the fridge and found what I wanted. I walked over to the couch and started to eat.
"Oh, GOD this is so good!" I exclaimed as I dipped a pickle in the cookie dough ice cream.
My belly had grown over the past couple of weeks since the fair. Werewolves are only pregnant for about three months so my stomach being this big was normal. For some reason my wolf kept growling in my head. I was ignoring her at first but then she kept pushing. I tried to ignore her, but she just got louder.
'What the actual f**k?' I asked my wolf.
'Go find Leo," my wolf commanded.
'Excuse me,' I replied back to my wolf.
'Go find him. Now," my wolf growled, scaring me half to death.
I jumped up from the couch and quietly made my way to one of the cars in the garage. I put the key into the ignition, backed out of the driveway, and headed towards Blake's territory. For some odd reason my wolf purred. I reached the line and got out of the vehicle. As soon as I stepped over the line, the wind shifted, and a smell clogged my nose. It smelt like cedar, oak, and a hint of some kind of cologne. My wolf once again purred.
As if on instinct, I started to follow the smell. I was following the smell when I heard the fighting. I ran up the hill, that was blocking my view, and I saw our pack tearing Blake's pack apart. Instead of purring my wolf growled and I didn't understand. For some reason, my wolf pushed me towards the shack. I quickly ran in, trying to remain undetected by all of the wolves fighting. Once I made my way inside of the shack, the smell grew stronger. I looked around and then my eyes landed on his. The world around me stopped as I saw Leo pinned on the wall in a death grip, my brother lunging at the man the smell was coming from, and then my scream filled the room, "NO!"
Leo's POV
My head hurt as I woke up. I looked around, noticing that I was tied to a chair. I tried to lift my hands up but I couldn't move. Then I looked up to see Blake staring at the door. He hadn't noticed I was awake yet, so I tried to break free of the ropes. I didn't get far before I heard the fighting start outside. Growls and whimpers filled the air around me. Then the door was blown off the shack and I saw Josh appear. Blake growled and quickly ran towards me. He untied me and threw me against the wall. He pinned me down and then I saw his sharp canines appear.
"NO!" I yelled out.
I then heard Josh growl and what happened next seemed to happen in slow motion. I saw Josh lunge towards Blake, Kalie walk in with shock on her face. Her mouth opened and another scream ripped through the air and then, everything just.... stopped. Blake's eyes changed color and then his grip on me lessened. Josh turned to look at Kalie. Blake had also turned, mumbling something. With him being occupied, I kneed him where the sun doesn't shine, and darted away.
Blake fell to the ground with a thud and I ran over to Kalie. She was still screaming as Josh made his way to Blake.
"Kalie, what's wrong?" I asked.
"Leo, please don't let him do it," she shrieked.
"Do what?" I asked her.
"Don't let Josh kill my mate," she said.
I looked up and I saw Josh walking towards Blake. Seriously? Out of all the possible wolves it could have been, her's had to be the psychotic alpha. Right before Josh was about to snap Blake's neck, I yelled, "Josh, stop!"
He looked back at me with a confused face. I only did two things I pointed at Kalie and then said, "Mate."
Josh stiffened and then howled causing us all to bow in submission. The only thought I could get out is, 'Oh shit, this isn't going to be pretty.'
Haley's POV
I was curled in a ball when I heard the fighting. I quickly got up and walked towards the window in my cell. I could only see the feet of the wolves. I then started to see blood. Panic swept over me once I realized that I was defenseless in this cell. I was praying for someone to find me. I ran to the furthest corner of the cell and stared at the door. Suddenly the door swung open and wolves rushed in. I started to cry and panic until I smelt him. My whole body froze as I lifted up my head and saw Matthew's wolf standing in front of me.
"Matthew," I yelled as I ran over to the gate of the cell.
He looked up at me and I saw the disappointment in his eyes. I looked down and pouted. I heard him shift and then I looked back up at him.
"I'm sorry," I managed to get out.
"You shouldn't be apologizing to me," he said as he opened the cell.
I walked out of the cage and went to hug him but he backed away and I whined.
"Don't do that, it's hard enough for me not to cave just by seeing you, but you messed up," he growled at me.
"I know," I said as I bowed my head.
I was about to say something else when a shriek went through the room. I doubled over and covered my ears as the scream continued. My whole body was shacking like crazy. I barely had enough energy to see Matthew in the same position as me. Only one word went through my head.
