chapter 9 "im okay"

Have you ever been in a suituation, where you know your about to be caught, like in hide and seek, when the person trying to find you grow closer and closer to your hiding place, you see there shadow or simply hear the footsteps, and your to scared to breath for the very fact they may hear you, that Tingle that runs threw your veins, almost painfully

I have that feeling right now, but it's not just building up, the feeling is constant, and it's worse and more frightening then any other time I've felt it

Here I was, covered it blood and guts, that where drying fron the roasting athlanta sun, beside my best friend, and a man who risked his life to save me fron a tank

But the worst part, the worst part was the fact these wherent the only people I was walking beside, I was surrounded by tens, if not hundreds, of dead, flesh craving beasts, who growled and snarled at me, each one that dumped into me caused the feeling to strike my nerves, in an actual painful spurr

The plan is working, they see us as one of them, we had slipped under the bus and are now making our way threw the herd, rick to my right and Glenn to my left

But as we did so I couldnt help but think the eerie taught that this is what it's like to be one, the way we just walked past them... The taught of some day I could possibly truly turn sent a shiver up my spine and caused a sour taste to fill my mouth

Again the smell was unbelievably bad, worse then what I was expecting, the growles where horribly loud from down here, making glenns scared shaky breaths become hidden

We where Walking at an agonisingly slow pace, we weren't even half way there yet and I felt like we've been walking for hours, when in reality it was no more then five minutes

Soon clouds began to appear, and to our relief the sun became covered over, a brisk cool air surrounding me, slowly calming down my nerves as I focused on the task at hand

I limped along, and soon noticed we where getting close to the construction sight, I held back a sigh of relief, as clearly we where not quiet there yet

In the distance there was a sound of tunder, and a few seconds later another bash came, but my attention was taken away from it when I felt something hit my shoulder, I almost flinched, but stopped myself by simply tensing

A Walker scooted it's way past me, getting in between me and rick, it instantly made panic run threw my nerves as it stayed walking between us, I bit my lip and clenched my fists, resisting the urge to just bash it's head in

The Walker soon turned right, and I was back to ricks side

"it's gonna work" Glenn Mummerd, trying not to move his lips "I can't believe it"

I shushed quietly, as another Walker came up, a female one, it seemed to stare at Glenn, examining him closely as he instantly became nervous, his pace slowing down

I stared over at Glenn, and once we made eye contact, I kept it to ensure he would calm down, we looked at each other and I tilted my head forward slightly, as a way of telling him to calm down, another sound of tunder went and Glenn got even more tense, but luckily the Walker, just as the other one did, walked away, falling for our disguise once Glenn pulled his eyes to the back of his head and began to groan

I rolled my eyes and him as he gave us a slight look of triumph
he then turned away noticing my expression, and I couldn't help but smile

This was going to work, we are making our way out of this to survive another day, I glanced over at rick, I looked at his consentrated face, and how the axe dangled from his hand
