Chapter 10 "pinkies"

We where still driving after the sounds of glenns sirens, the veichal shaking as we hit potholes or ran over a body of the dead, I was calm now and was just forcing myself to accept the fact he was left up there

It was what the world was for the meantime, it was survival until the ghastly disease was finally cured

Apparently he has a brother back at the camp, and by the way morals worded it I knew we where going to have our hands full

3rd pov

Glenn was already back at the camp and everyone gathered around him asking questions, Amy was the most pursitant and glenns adrenaline rush from driving such an amazing car flattered as he began being scolded at by Shane

Glenn assured everyone that there people are coming soon, and relief filled the group knowing that they hadn't lost anyone, non knowing merle had been left behind, but it's not like much of them cared

The van soon rolled up, and the survivors walked out of it to greet there loved ones

Rick turned back and noticed iris still sitting there in the back, he knew how she got with things like this, she hated losing people more then he did, they both felt guilt and weren't to keen on meeting the other dixon

Rick got up from the car and walked down towards her, he bent down as her beautiful blue eyes met his

They both stayed in silence, both thinking of what would be there next move, to stay with these people or continue looking for ricks family

But just the presence of one another was enough reassurance for the both, it had always been for past 23 years they've been friends, and they wouldn't have it any other way

"your a sight for sore eyes" dale said as he hugged morals after he was reunited with his family

Andrea and Amy stayed in each others arms and Shane eyed around the group, he noticed Lori comforting Carl, and his heart ached also for the loss of his two best friends

"howd you all get out anyways" Shane asked the group, as he stood away from everyone, his large gun held in his hands

"new people, the two of them helped us get out of there" Glenn amswered

"two?" Shane asked confussed, but morals conformed it before yelling out to the new members of this group

Rick and Iris stood close together as they excited the van at there own pace, holding each others pinkies like they use to in high school and college, rick decided that doing there old comforting technics would help, and it did, after the tramatic five days, even longer in irises point, they still had each other

"there cops, like you" morals told Shane, Shane was more intrested after those words where spoken, and suddenly, as he noticed the two people he was once closes to in the world, his whole mind did a back flip, as he was filled with more emotions then he himself could even process

Iris looked ahead of the group before rick did, and noticed a crying boy being talked to by a woman

But when she reconized them, she felt a sudden lift of happiness, hope and love fill her for the amazing family that without all odds they truly have found, her chest felt like it could bursts open as she couldn't even belive it herself

"oh my God" she said covering her mouth as her eyes filled with tears of joy, but as rick stepped forward, irises happiness couldn't even come close to his

Carl looked up to the new people, and instantly reconized iris, but when he noticed his farther, his small child like mind didn't even ask any questions, he simply just ran to him
