The day after the midnight meet-up on Marinette's balcony, Adrien went to school wondering if Marinette would mention the dress she was working on but to Adrien's disappointment she never mentioned anything about it, only that she would not be able to meet up after school. But Alya being Alya knew that Marinette was hiding something and questioned her on it

'why?what have you got to do after school that's so important? Even more important than going for a smoothie with a-dri-en?'

Marinette turned red and flustered at Alya's question and squeaked at how Alya emphasized Adrien's name

'n-n-nothing!I-it's j-just t-that m-my parents w-want a-a l-little h-help at the b-bakery!'

Alya realised that Marinette was still not telling the truth but didn't press on it thinking that Marinette would tell her when she was ready.

After school

as soon as the bell went marinette ran down the steps as fast as she could, tripping over a bag on the last step

marinette went down getting ready for the impact of hitting the floor, when someone caught her by the shoulders, marinette open her eyes as she startled, not feeling the impact she expected

'hey marinette, are you okay? You didn't hurt yourself did you?'

marinette looked up only to find her sapphire eyes locked onto an emerald set watching her with concern

'e-ek!Y-yes t-t-thanks y-your f-fine! No i-im m-mean t-that i-im f-fine n-not that y-our n-not y-you k-know i-im just g-gonna g-go n-now b-bye!'

and with that she ran down the street in direction of her home

'*sigh*that girl honestly!' Alya was standing behind him watching what just happened

'do I scare her or something?' Adrien looked at Alya with worry

'dude!You're my best mate and everything but why are you so stupid! How can  you not notice that marinette is not scared of you!? She stands up to Chloe practically everyday!'

Nino started shaking the blonde model by his shoulders to make his argument more dramatic

'I don't know! I'm sure she's scared of me because why else would she act like that and run away!'Adrien exclaimed a little upset!

Alya  grabbed the two boys by their arms and dragged them towards the cafe

'just forget it! Let's go get our milkshakes!'

as he was drinking his milkshake, Adrien knew that a certain feline would be visiting marinette that night

As Marinette ran down the streets she slowed down when she got to the bakery but walked past going onto the high street where her favourite  shop(aside from her parents bakery) was

marinette walked in with a tinkle of the bell above the door, looking at all the materials of all different colours and textures and walked straight past the red,pink,orange,yellow and green aisles, into the blue aisle looking past the lighter shades of blue and going deeper into the aisle as the shades went darker until she reached the midnight blue she picked out the net,velvet and crinoline materials that she was going to use for the dress and went to the counter topay.

that night marinette had already made the basic shape of the skirt and set it up on a mannequin that she had adjusted to Alya's measurements and was cutting out the velvet to make the torso when she heard a knock on the window she knew who it was so she called out

'its open!'

Chat noir slipped in through the window and snuck his way towards the designer to look over her shoulder

wow she has already gotten that far over the last night,not to mention we had school today chat thought to himself

'what do you want chat? I'm a little busy tonight'

asked marinette sewing the front of the torso onto the skirt struggling tohold it up

'oh nothing princess, I just wanted to see how you were doing on the  dress we were talking about last night but I see you're doing just fine!'

Chat said flirtatiously in Marinette's ear

'god,chat! Don't talk in my ear like that I have a needle in my hand! And if you're going to be here like that then I expect some sort of payment'

'and exactly what sort of payment were you expecting, may I ask princess?'

Chat asked trying to hide his hesitation

'holdup the material while I sew,kitty'

'o-of course!' chat hurried to the back of the mannequin,sighing in relief

marinette quickly sewed on the front of the material to the skirt and started to sew on the low-plunge back

'you're really good at this' murmured chat under his breath looking at the concentration on Marinette's face

'well kitty, this isnt the first time ive made a dress and i can get it done a lot faster because it is a lot easier with your help' Marinette mumbled trying not to drop the pins that she held in her mouth

'im glad to hear that, princess. This dress looks a-mew-zing I cant wait to see what it looks like when finished'

Marinette groaned at the pun and said 'thanks kitty for your help, there's some cookies on my desk if you want' as she finished sewing the torso.

Chat didnt wait to be asked twice and pounced on the plate eating two at a time

Marinette sighed at chat being stupid and went back to the dress cutting out the net to cover the crinoline under-skirt

when she had finally sewn on the net it was already gone midnight, and turned around to tell chat that she needed to get to sleep so he should too, only to find that the room was empty and there was a note left on the empty cookie plate

'hey princess, it was getting late so I decided to go home and you didnt look like you wanted to be disturbed, so goodnight for now

Marinette looked at the note and left it on her desk turning around to change into her pajamas

it was nice of that cat to not disturb me and leave a note instead but did he really have to include a pun and a cat emoji!

Marinette thought with a huff as she settled into bed, drifting off to sleep.

i know it may seem like there is not plot so far but im working upto the main plot!

and sorry about the title but i couldnt think of anything else and it gets a little confusing if there is just chapter number n not names when you go back to read a certain event again(or am i the only person who does tha?)
