later that evening chat noir left the agreste mansion from a certain model's window and made his way to the Eiffel tower to meet up with his partner and crush. as he got there ladybug landed right next to him a few seconds later
"ready for patrol chat?"
"of course my lady!" and with that they set off, jumping over roofs and across the streets, all the while talking without giving anything about their identities away, soon the topic moved to the ladyblog
"hey chat?"
"yes lb?" ladybug stopped
"i want you to know that you are very important to me, and to be honest i wouldnt even be ladybug without you.you are my partner,my only partner and you will never, never become or ever be some side-kick,okay?" chat walked up to ladybug and pulled her into a tight hug
"thank you my lady, you are important to me too, more then you would ever know! but what brought this on?" ladybug stiffened at the hug but soon relaxed in his arms and returned the hug
"I saw the video up on the ladyblog and i saw how chloe was talking about you, she had no right to talk about you like that and im glad that someone was there to stand up for you" even if it was myself
"thank you doesn't express my gratitude for you ladybug. I've also got to thank my princess for her support." at her partners' words she stepped back in surprise, before clearing her throat
"i'm guessing you're going after patrol?"ladybug questioned
"yeah, that's what the plan was" at chat's reply ladybug panicked internally
"H-how about you pick up a flower or something to say thank you? I know she likes flowers!" ladybug quickly said to use as an excuse so she could make it home before chat did
"that's a great idea,my lady! umm... do you think i could go now? only because the florist closes in 20 minutes"
"oh sure, I'll finish off now, bye chat!" and with that, the spotted heroine leaped off, eager to finish patrol before her partner made his way to her home.

~half an hour later~

Marinette sat at home finishing off some last minute homework while waiting for chat noir to come visit, when suddenly, there was a knock on her skylight. marinette quickly threw her pen down on her desk and went to the balcony where she saw chat noir standing there with one hand behind his back.
"hey chat, what's the matter?" chat blushed a little and seemed a little embarrassed
"hey princess, um, i s-saw the video on the ladyblog of how you stood up for me and i-i wanted to express my gratitude." after he had spoken, chat revealed a small bouquet of dark pink and light pink roses, that was wrapped in silver glitter wrapping paper with a beautiful pink silk ribbon tied in a elegant bow tied around the middle and passed it to the shocked bluenette' omg, they are so beautiful! and it looks so expensive! did he really buy this for me!?'
"thank you, princess and yes, they really are for you." mari looked up shocked
"did i really say that out loud!?"
"yes you did" chat chuckled. marinette grabbed the flowers gently from chat's waiting hand and brought them delicately to her face inhaling the sweet scent of the flowers, face blushed. chat looked adoringly at her, cheeks pinked she looks so cute, with her cheeks pink, smelling the flowers and looking up at me with her gorgeous blue ey-- oh damn she's looking at me!
"yes, princess?"
"i said, did you want to come in? its kinda starting to rain?" at marinette's words, chat noir looked up at the sky only for a raindrop to fall on his nose. sheepishly, with his ears slightly drooping, he answered
"only if you don't mind, princess" marinette softly smiled
"of course i don't, chat" and with that she turned around to head back into her room, with chat noir following, his heart beating steadily at the sight of his softly smiling princess.

hey guys! thanks for waiting just a little longer for the second of my 'sorry for taking so long' chapters, i'll try not to take so long next time (cant promise tho soz) and i hope u liked reading them!

also fun fact that i couldnt fit in:Dark pink roses are symbolic of gratitude and appreciation, and are a traditional way to say thanks and Light pink roses are associated with gentleness and admiration! so chat's message to mari was "thank you and i admire you"!
