Oh no no.

Not gonna happen.

I faked a laugh.

"You're kidding right?" I asked even though I knew perfectly well that he wasn't.

"I am serious," he said flatly.

"And I am Virgo," I said.

That earned a laugh from him. It was an unusual sight. So, it kinda distracted me and I started smiling too. He should laugh more. He had that kind of laugh which lights up his whole face. His nose crinkled and it made him look so cute.

Then he stopped and looked at me.

"What?" I said. He was making me uncomfortable with the staring now. We were alone in the hallway and this part of the school was eerily silent. There was no class nearby. Just some labs nobody used because of the new more advanced ones.

He shook his head and slipped his hands into his pockets.

"Nothing," he said.

"I am not going with you," I said before he could say anything else.

"Ouch. That was harsh," he said grimacing.

Okay, I shouldn't have said it. Like that. I could have been nice about it. Who denies that straightforwardly?

"I am sorry. I didn't mea-"

"If you want to apologize just go with me," he cut me off.

Was this guy for real? It was becoming annoying now. If I went to the ball with him I would lose another chance with Ashton. I would not let that happen.

"Why would I do that?" I asked.

"Because you will get to know me," he said as if I was some five years old kid.

I crossed my arms and glared at him.

He came beside me and put his arm around my shoulder. I glared at him sideways. He started walking.

"I get it if you don't want to be in a relationship right now... " he began rambling. I stopped listening because something else caught my attention.

He was so pale. His smooth and pale skin contrasted so beautifully with his black hair. Suddenly I wanted to touch it. I wanted to run my fingers over it. I know it sounds creepy but I couldn't help it.

I refrained from doing so and tuned into what he was saying.

"Deal?" he asked, hopefully.

I stared at him blankly. He raised his eyebrows although I couldn't see them because of his bangs.

I couldn't believe this was happening to me. I didn't even know what he said! It could be anything. What am I even supposed to do?

"So?" he prompted standing in front of me.

I didn't know what to do or say so I stood there like a moron.

He rolled his eyes. Then he took my hand and shook it firmly.

"Deal," he said.

I looked at our hands then up at him. He smirked and let go.

"See you tomorrow beautiful," he waved and walked off.

What the hell did I just sign up for?

****

I looked at the mirror in my room and touched up my makeup. I wore a beautiful black gown. It had layers flowing sideways and had net for sleeves. My brown hair came down in waves just reaching my mid back.
