While sitting together at the canteen during lunch break.
Karylle: oh, where's Yael? don't tell me he's not gonna eat with us again.
Vice: ahh. Oo ehh. hayaan mo na. That's how first year in high school goes naman talaga diba. Making new friends. Forming new barkadas. Trying to find your status quo.
Karylle: I know but isn't it kinda too late for that. Hello february na?! So is he too cool to be seen hanging out with us now? Besides, he has made friends already. Too much if you'd ask me. Parang ngang BI pa yung mga yun.
Vice: haha. Just let him be mom. He'll be fine. There you go again being too judgemental. Ganyan talaga pag freshman.
K's POV: "Pero bakit ikaw, you never failed to be with me all the time despite being popular."
Karylle: Fine. But stop calling me mom! Anyway, diba my birthday's on saturday na. I was thinking... *She wasn't able to finish her sentence when a group of girls which she especially hated surrounded their table*
Senior Girls: Hi Jose!
Vice: ahh..Hi. *trying to smile*
The leader of the group stepped forward and began to speak in an annoyingly pa-cute manner..
Pa-cute Girl: Uhh, Jose diba our Prom will be like on Saturday na? *K looked surprised and rolled her eyes* uhm, kasi I heard you haven't gotten yourself any date. I was just wondering if you won't mind making me your prom date. Wala pa kasi akong partner ehh..
Vice: uhhm, I hope you don't get offended but I haven't thought about prom yet. I've been busy with so much things, I haven't even found anything to wear. *K smirked*
Pa-cute girl: is that so? *The girl made an incredulously forced dismayed face*
Vice: mmm..But yeah sige, I'll think about it. Maybe, I'll let you know on friday?
Pa-cute Girl: *The dismayed looked vanished as if it never surfaced her face and looked excited* ohh.. sure, that's totally fine with me! Basta, I'm really hoping you'll be my partner. We'll look so fab together! Anny, I'll go ahead na. Thanks, for your time. I'd be cheering for you on your next game. *Winks* see you around.
Vice: Ahh..thank you. *Smiles awkwardly*
The group of senior girls went away and Vice continued eating on his lunch when he started to notice Karylle staring at him sharply.
