It’s been 3 weeks since Vice started driving lessons. His dad insisted he should learn how to drive since he’s almost going to college and today’s the day Vice will be driving on the freeway for the first time. Instead of his instructor, it was his dad who’s gonna teach him. They took off at 5:00 in the morning to SLEX since konti lang ang cars sa express way pag ganoon kaaga. He had such a grand time driving, he didn’t notice nasa laguna na pala sila.
Viceral Dad: Son, you're enjoying too much. You better take that exit *points at Susana Heights Exit* Kailangan nating bumalik before breakfast or else magagalit nanaman ang nanay mo.
Vice: Yes dad.
Back at the Viceral Residence
Nanay Rosario: oh, nandito na pala kayo. You’re just in time for breakfast. Jose, could you call your brother, sabihin mo kakain na.
Vice went up to yael’s room
Vice: Huy yael, ang aga-aga nag ggames kananaman diyan. Baba na tayo, breakfast na.
Yael: I’m not hungry.
Vice: Ano, Pachix lang brad? Baba na, mapapagalitan ka nanaman niyan sa kaartehan mo eh.
Yael: So? what’s new? They always scold me anyway.
Vice: Ang drama mo! *puches his shoulder* dude tara na!
Bumaba din naman sila and they started eating
Nanay Rosario: : Oh how was your drive? You guys had fun?
Viceral Dad: Well, it went good. Marunong kasing makinig ‘tong si Jose kaya mabilis matuto. Kayang kaya ka na talaga nitong ipagdrive to the grocery. Also, tamang tama, for our grad gift.
Pinandilatan naman ng mata ng mom nila yung dad as if saying “don’t spill the beans yet”
Vice: ahh. Dad hindi naman po kailangan ng grad gift.
Viceral dad: Anong hindi? You’re running for Valedictorian and you passed UPCAT
He was kinda interrupted by the sight of their helper holding several mails
Viceral Dad: oh Hilda, ano yang mga hawak mo?
Helper: Ahh, mga letter po galing po sa mga ischool dumating kahapon, lalagay ko lang po sa office niyo sir.
Viceral Dad: Ah no no. hand them over. Oh see Jose, there’s more coming. Baka ito na yung sa Ateneo or La salle
Vice wasn’t interested since he already knew the results. Na-check niya na online from the list of passers that he passed but decided not to tell his parents since he doesn’t want to enter another exclusive school again. Unluckily, he forgot na nagssend din sila ng letters when you pass the entrance exams. Their dad opened the letters and indeed they were decision letters from Ateneo, La Salle, Enderun and University of Asia and the Pacific informing Vice that he is one of the applicants accepted to enter as a new student in their school.
Then their dad opened another letter. But this time, it was from their school and it was for Yael. T'was a probation letter saying that yael would have to reach the retention policy for the last quarter otherwise he’d have to take summer classes for the subjects he’s about to fail. So now, while the dad was all praises for Vice, siya namang talak for yael
Viceral Dad: Yael ano nanaman ba to? When will you take your studies seriously? Ha? Tell me? Wala ka ba talagang gagawing tama? Puro ka gitara, puro ka laro! You’re not getting any younger! Puro ganyan parin ang inaatupag mo
