Previously in Deception:

All I type in is "Charlie Parker" and I see tons of articles old...and new.

"Nineteen year old Charlotte Parker is filed as MISSING. The teen was last seen August 20th 2013." It reads. It is August 24th. My eyes are now locked on the screen, unable to pull away.

"Charlotte who goes by Charlie was abducted, along with her sister Ellie Parker when they were only eight years old by Gary Longsmith. Longsmith held the two identical twins captive for two weeks. Charlie was found nude in the Passentia Woods of Portland, Oregon during a storm. A few miles away was a cabin where Ellie Parker along with Gary Longsmith's bodies were found. Ellie Parker was strangled to death while Gary Longsmith was stabbed and taken to the hospital, later dying there." Tears are stinging my eyes but I refuse to remove them from the screen.

"Charlie Parker claimed to not remember much of what happened as she was drugged by Longsmith." But I do remember, more than they know.

"Her parents believe that her missing may be another abduction as her window was left open and personal items such a phone and computer were left inside."

The screen then shows a list of photos of me, numbers to call, and then finally a young picture of Ellie and I. Then I shut the computer off.

I could no longer be Charlie Parker. I had made the decision to come and here and I wasn't going back. Not to the house where one room lays completely untouched for ten years.

No. I will not go back there. I quickly close the link from the computer and make my way out there. Checking the clock, I realize that if I take the bus I can make it there and back to Koffee Kall in time. I had made my decision.

I am going to attend Marson London Academy.

Chapter 8:

"Is that the last one?" Niall asks me.  I only had about two boxes, mostly filled with decorative items that Mary Kall insisted I kept. She and I worked out a schedule so I could still work during school. I wanted to still live there, but it wasn't realistic.

I stare at the two empty beds across from mine and sigh. I always have the worst luck especially with something like roommates.

"I think you are going to like it here." Niall smiles at me as I sit on the plain mattress.

"I hope so. Do you think we will have the same music class?" I ask. He shrugs and takes out a lamp from one of my boxes.

"Niall?"

"Yes?"

"Thank you for...helping me out this week." I smile. His cheeks widen and a huge, boyish grin appears on his face. The past few days since my encounter with Harry in the apartment above the Koffee Kall, Niall decided to help me "stay away" from him. He would come in every morning and Niall would switch shifts with me. I really didn't want to have anything to do with him.

"What if my roommates already hate me?" I ask Niall.

"Then I guess you deserve it." He grins and I punch him on the arm. I look down at all of the papers I still needed to fill out for Mr. Payne. I had registered under the name of Charlie Wilson so my past could never be a question. I chopped my hair to my shoulders before moving in this morning in the hopes of looking dsiparate than the pictures online.

Charlie Parker is gone.

~

Niall leaves too soon and I am left in the loneliness of my new dorm room. Part of me wants to stay here for two days until school starts. The other part of me wants to explore the campus.
