CHAPTER FORTY SEVEN

Dear diary, 

Gidala ko ni Prince sa usa ka dakong building. Sosyal kaayo. Lumalaban. Pero wa ko'y panahon para ma-amaze sa akong mga nakita. Mas gusto kong magkita naming Luh Vey aron matubag na tanan nakong pangutana. I'm tired of this guessing game. 

"Giunsa nimo pagkaila ni Luh Vey?" pangutana nakong prince while naglingkod mi sa waiting longue.

"She's one of our family's business partners." 

Business partner? 'Di ba alien man si Giselle? Queen pa man gani sya sa ilang planeta. But then... wa na baya ko kahibaw og unsa pa'y tinuod sa mga nahitabo ron. 

"Cinderelax, Madam Luh Vey will see you now," her secretary informed us. 

"I'll wait here," ana si Prince. Nibarog ko dayon og nisulod sa opisina ni Luh Vey. 

Dako kaayo iyang office. Minimal ra ang design. Puro black og gray ang color. Naa pu'y indoor plants sa palibot. I saw her nga naglingkod atubangan sa iyang table. Sa iyang likod kay glass window maong makita ang mga tag-as nga building og ang busy'ng karsada sa ubos. 

"Cinderelax," she called me with a smile. "Have a seat." Iyang gitudlo ang visitor's chair atubangan sa iyang lamisa. 

Niduol ko pero wa ko nilingkod. Di ko pwede magsayang og oras. Dapat direct to the point. 

"Unsay nahitabo? Nganong nabalik ko's mansyon? Nganong uyab naming Prince? Nganong wa kaila sila Trent nako?"

"Chill. You're too excited for information," ana sya nga nakatawa nako. Pero wa ko nalipay. 

"Tubaga ko. I need answers. Naglibog nako's mga nahitabo. Please..." 

"Have a seat, first." Nipatuo na lang ko. Nilingkod ko sa iyang atubangan, waiting for her to answer me. "Would you like some coffee? Tea? Or juice?"

"Ice candy."

"Unfortunately, wa mi ana."

"Shakoy?"

"I'm sorry, wala sad."

"Pwes, tubaga akong pangutana. Pasabta ko's mga nahitabo kay naglabad akong ulo."

"I understand that you're confused, Cinderelax. Pero kaning tanang nahitabo ron, planado ni. This is for the better." 

"For the better? This isn't---" 

"Trent is not allowed to fall in love with you. Og ikaw sad mismo, di pwedeng ma-in love niya." 

Mura ko'g giyab-an og bugnaw nga tubig sa iyang giingon. 

"H-ha? Nganong di man?" 

"You see, it's a universal rule, Cinderelax. Ang taga earth, para ra pud sa taga earth. Og si Trent, para ra pud sa usa ka babayng naggikan sa among planeta." 

"T-that's ridiculous! Binoang man na imong gipanulti oi. We love each other og 'way makapugong sa among na-feel tungod lang kay lahi mi'g planetang gigikanan. I don't care about that fuckin' universal rule you're talking about." 

Ni-ginhawa siya'g lawm as if to extend her patience og nibarog. 

"Cinderelax, look, I don't want you to think nga I'm a villain here. Believe me, gusto kong magkadayon mo ni Trent. I've never seen him so in love until he met you. Only you can make him so happy. But then, I'm a queen with responsibilities to make. I can't allow the two of you to end up with each other. I am so sorry."

Nibarog nako. Gisapot na. Wa nako na-gets ang sense sa iyang mga gipanulti. Di mi pwedeng magkadayon ni Trent kay lahi mi'g planeta. So what? 

"No! 'Way right ang bisan kinsa nga mopugong kung unsa among na-feel. Unsa imong gibuhat? Nganong wa na sya nakahinumdom nako? Nganong nana pud ko's mansyon? Nganong... ugh! Please explain everything to me." 

"I used my power to put things back to normal." 

"Normal?" 

"Normal. I mean, you're back to being the real Cinderelax before you met Trent. Gibalik tika sa imong karaang kinabuhi. Believe me, this is where you should be. This is the right place for you." 

"Right place? Ang daug-daogon ko sa akong stepmom og stepsisters? Mao ni sakto para nimo?"

"Giunsa ni nimo pagbuhat tanan?" 

"I used my power. It's a strong kind of power that I'm not supposed to use. Pero kihanglan. When I saw the two of you so in love with each other, I was alarmed. Trent was badly smitten. He could die for you. And it's not good. We could not bend nor break the universal rule. It's absolute. What's forbidden is forbidden." 

"And we are forbidden?" 

"Yes. So you have to forget about him, Cinderelax."

"Cinderelax, masakitan ra ka. You will fail. Hapit nami mobalik sa among planeta. We're only staying here to make sure nga safe na ang earth. But after a week, we're going back home. So please, help yourself."

"One week? That's enough time. Di ko mo-surrender dayon. He loves me and I'm sure makahinumdom sya nako."
