Chapter 12: The Oratorical Contest (Part 1)

It's the annual oratorical contest once again. There are only 3 children selected from each class. This rule is a new rule that was added because of time reasons.

ROUND 1:

The classroom contest is judged by our teachers. As you may remember, I love the oratorical contest. So, I tried my best. And it paid off. I got 100%!

ROUND 2:

The final nine are on stage. We all say our speeches in front of the judges, which are all from local high schools.

The competition was fierce. Friendships were being put to the test. And then, the results were in.

Mrs. McLaughlin said, "And the winner of the SFA Oratorical Contest 2016 is (drumroll please) Kirsten!"

I had to ask if the results were correct. She said yes. Reality hit me and I started jumping for joy. I had just won the oratorical. Now, off to the Diocesan Oratorical Contest I go!
