Kendall Schmidt Imagine(Here to stay)

"Hospital? What? Why?" Kendall screams frantically into the phone. "Tell her I'll be right there!"

You had just checked into the emergency room, due to not feeling very well. First you thought it was just a cold, but after holding it off for a couple days it turned into something more. You were also nine months pregnant, six days overdue. While waiting at the emergency room, your water had broken. You had no one by your side, it was midnight. Unfortunately, your baby's father passed away at your seventh month of pregnancy, leaving you all alone. That is, except for your best friend.

"Knock, knock," Kendall says smiling, walking into your room with tulips in his hands. "How are ya?"

"Kendall, it's midnight. You didn't have to come here." You smile at the thought that he actually did.

"Well considering you're sick, plus in labor, how could I leave you alone? Member when he passed? I promised you I wasn't going to leave your side, and I meant it."

"Thanks, Kend-ALL," you shout, feeling another contraction as your head throbs. You clutch your overgrown belly in pain. Kendall immediately rushes over to you, grabbing your hand tightly. He kisses your forehead as soon as it was over.

"Uhh, can I talk to you for a sec?" You nod.

"I don't know if you've realized this, but I-I really like you. I know this is a lot to take in right now, considering everything that's happening, but I can't hold it in any longer.You're the first thing I think about when I wake up, and you're the last person I think about when I fall asleep. I am so happy I'm your best friend and that's all I could ask for. Maybe I'm rushing into this, or maybe I'm not but I just-"

"Kendall!" you scream. "He-he's coming! Now!" 

Kendall rushes to the nurses station and tells them everything. He's bummed a bit that he didn't get to finish his "awesome" speech, but obviously this was more important. Kendall was going to leave the room, but you demanded he stayed. After all, he is your best friend and maybe in a little while something more.  A few screams and plenty of pain later, your son Kaiden Kendall was born. Kendall was honored you named your son after him, so honored in fact he cried a bit.

"Kendall, you should get going. It's almost one thirty, you have work tomorrow," you say sadly, but not showing it.

"No way. I'm not leaving your side. I'm here to stay," he replies, tucking your red hair behind your ear. "I'm taking time off to help you-"

"But-" you try to fight him.

"No buts! It's already been arranged." He smiles satisfi. "So, um, about that talk.."

"Kendall, I'd love to be your girlfriend," you laugh. You knew he was going to ask that, he is your best friend. You scoot over a bit, and Kendall sits on the bed next to your with your baby boy. 

"I know this isn't my child, but I promise you that I will treat him like he is," he bends over and kisses his thick hair. "I love him already."

"Me too," you agree and kiss Kendall. "I love you already, Kendall."

Kendall blushes slightly and cuddles into you. "I love you too."
