I got ready for school and tried to avoid my mother. I was really depressed and wasn't in any mood to go to school, but I just couldn't skip school.
I put my bag into my locker and closed it, revealing Arrietty's evil looking face.
"So, hows Matt?"
My eyes began to water. How could she do this to me? The question wandered in my mind as I studied her face. She's wearing more makeup than usual. She's not wearing her not so expensive clothes, she's wearing really expensive clothing. And then it occurred to me, she's trying to impress Matt.
"He's been wondering where you've been." she said with a cocky grin.
I frowned.
"I'm going to class. Just leave me alone, okay?" I said quietly.
She giggled and walked off. My heart felt like it was a million pieces.
