'I'm beginning to think I imagined you all along'

Suha's thoughts were swirling around in her head at 100 miles per hour, how did this situation even happen. Why were they even speaking about this with Aaron in the other room. Feelings of guilt, anger filled her, but also spots of relief kept tugging at her heartstrings, was this for the best? How much long would she be able to hold onto this without Aaron finding out, or without the guilt completely consuming her. Aaron can also feel conflicting emotions surging around his body, he chooses to put on his best poker face, innocently asking what's going on.
"A-a-aron it's nothing, nothing for you to worry about" Suha blurts out
"Nah, come on, what are you two so hush hush about? I know that Luke wanted to see you, so what is it that's so important you can't say in front of me?"
"Aaron, please. It's nothing" Suha has desperation in her voice, going against her better judgement she cannot bring herself to tell him the truth. Flashbacks of Aaron's grimacing face when they argued over Daley, the way his tears wouldn't stop, she couldn't bare seeing it for another second more. Once was bad enough, she couldn't do it to him again.
"Obviously it is something or you wouldn't be trying to hide it from me?" Aaron asks, inquisitively, his poker face now revealing his true feelings, he starts to make his way towards the bed and as he's edging closer to Suha she can feel her heart starting to race, her palms starting to perspire. Her head is starting to hurt once more, adding annoyance to every other feeling she was experiencing. She was so scared of losing Aaron, even in his weakened body he was still intimidating, his spirit was strong, she wasn't sure how much longer she could cling onto this. She can feel Luke looking at her, she flashes her eyes at him, he's looking at her for answers, for the nod to go ahead and tell Aaron
"I, uh, i think I should leave and let you two talk.." he says,
standing up from the bed he walks into Aaron's direction, only to be stopped. Aaron brings his arm up and slams his palm flatly on Luke's chest, pushing him back a couple of steps and almost back onto the bed.
"I don't think that's a good idea, do you? Just what is going on here? If she wont tell me, then you can. Someone fucking enlighten me. What were you so desperate to see each other for?" Aaron's voice is calm, but cold. No anger, no emotion at all.
"We-we uh, didn't want you to find out like this, we did't want you to find out at all" Luke starts,
stumbling over his words and looking nervously from Aaron to Suha, she reaches over to him and puts her hand on his leg
"Luke!" she cries "I'm not doing this, I can't"
"Someone tell me what's going on, right now" Aaron bellows, his voice forced to anger, staring at Luke he is confused, he is believing the best in Suha and all of his angst and coldness of tone is directed at Luke. He doesn't recognise his feelings, so quickly to anger and ever since he struck Daley it has gotten worse. He can feel himself almost at boiling point over absolutely nothing.
"A holiday!" Suha lies
Luke looks over to Suha suspiciously and Aaron looks even more confused now than he did before
"A holiday?" Aaron repeats, not fully understanding
"Yes" Suha says, smiling "We've been planning it. We didn't want you to find out, it was suppose to be a surprise. You know, for all your good progress" Suha reaches out her arms to Aaron, in an attempt to grab his hands but he doesn't move
"A holiday?" Aaron says once more
"Yes, in Wales, near Caerphilly, I thought we could go and visit your family. You deserve it, I know how much you miss them, how hard you've worked. You need a break, we both do"
Aaron still looks unconvinced and his eyes flit from Suha, to Luke, and then back to Suha. She can see the untrusting look in his eyes now, she reaches over and grabs her laptop
"Look.." she says, scrolling through her internet history "Caerphilly, holiday homes to let" she turns the laptop around to show him
"This is what I was doing this morning.." she says
Luke puts his hand on Suha's shoulder and smiles
"We are the WORST at keeping secrets" he jokes, his grip still firmly on Suha's shoulder.
Aaron looks at them both, he's shaking his head and starts laughing under his breath
"You two, you must think i'm stupid?" he says
Suha can feel her stomach flipping, her throat closing
"Do you honestly think I would never find out?"
Suha doesn't know how to reply, she just keep looking at Aaron, his deep dark eyes, unable to read his expression, he is a completely closed book
"I always find out" he says "I just can't believe you two would do this for me. I'm lost for words" 
Aaron breaks into a sincere smile and she knows that the danger has passed, for now, that her lies she'd spun had got her out of trouble this time. But what about next time? This wasn't going away and one day Aaron could find out. Still feeling completely sick, she smiles back at him, trying her best to mirror his expression. Luke smiles at him too
"Don't mention it man!" he says 
"So, you want to visit my family do you? I'm sure they'd love to see you. I hated going on my own last Christmas. It will look so beautiful this time of the year" Aaron is still shaking his head, unable to believe what they have planned for him. He edges closer to the bed and where Suha is sat, he leans over his frame to leave a soft, full, kiss on her lips. Luke almost immediately jumps up from the bed, making it all too obvious that he's uncomfortable.
"Right, well, i reckon that's my cue to leave now" Luke jokes, making his way out of the room. He taps Aaron on the back on his shoulder
"I'll be on my way now pal, sorry about all the confusion" he says
"Hey, man, sorry about being so hasty. No harm done?" Aaron asks coolly
"Nah forget about it, i'd be the same if I walked in when you did" he laughs
"I'll catch you both later" Luke calls, as he briskly makes his way through the door. Suha and Aaron share another kiss and intimate moment as Luke is still lingering by the doorway. He feels his heart heave, before completely turning and leaving. Things could have ended up so much worse.
