Chapter 10

*one week later*

Nicky's POV

Wednesday morning. I'm going back to school and also, 1 week to go. Christian's coming home. I miss my brother so much. I hope that we can spend more time together when he comes home.

"Nick, Lise, breakfast is ready." Christina walked inside my/our room.

"I'll be down in 5 minutes. I'll just do my hair." I said.

"Can I do your hair?" Lisa asked, peeking her head from the top bunk.

"Sure." I replied. Lisa smiled.

"Do Nicky's hair later, the pancakes are going to get cold." Christina said then motioned us to follow her.

Lisa and I got up and followed her. We saw Lauren already eating.

"You're not hungry, aren't you?" Lisa asked Lauren with a sarcastic tone. Lauren faked a smile.

We all sat down then started eating. We talked about stuff until it's time for me to go to school.

"I'll braid your hair quickly." Lisa said. I nod then she started doing my hair.

"Nick, I'll drive you to school starting today. I'm gonna pick you up also." Christina said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because we want to protect you, that guy might be out there somewhere. And because Lisa's car is here." We all laughed at what Christina last said.

"Thank you for protecting me." I said then hugged Christina. Christina hugged me back.

"Don't mention it sweetie. Like we always say, you're like our baby sister. But you're more than a baby sister to me, you're my baby." Christina said then carried me.

"Awww.. Mother-daughter moment." Lisa said. Then snapped a pic.

"Cuteness overload!" Lauren said.

"C'mon you'll be late for school." Christina/mom said then got my bag. She carried me to Lisa's car.

"Why did you carry me? I'm not a baby anymore." I said.

"But you're my baby." Christina said then started driving.

"Okay MOM." I said. Christina laughed.

"What time am I going to pick you up?" Christina asked.

"Our dismissal's 3:40 but it depends because sometimes our teacher extends." I said.

"I'll be here by 3:40. I'll text you when I'm here." Christina said.

Christina parked the car then walked me to the school gate.

"Take care sweetie. You'll enjoy school more now, the bullies are gone. I love you baby." Christina said then kissed my forehead.

"I love you too mom." I said then hugged her. I waved goodbye then enter the gate. I saw Lian sitting at the bench.

"Hey Lian." I approached her.

"Hey Nicky. So Christina's driving you to school starting today?" Lian asked.

"Uhm, yeah. Cause they want to protect me. And since Lisa's car is in our house." I said.

"It looks like Christina's treating you more than her baby sister." Lian said.

"Yeah, she said that I'm her baby." I said.

"How cute.. Let's catch up later, the assembly's about to start." Lian said. I nodded then we parted ways.
