Darcy's POV
Today it's Monday. We've just had our first weekend at our new house - which has been awesome!
Currently, Luke is driving me and Lucy to school.
We have only got two weeks of school left, then it's spring break! I can't wait, I don't know what we are doing, but it will still be great.
"Bye girls, I will pick Lucy up at three and Leo will pick you Darcy up at four, ok?" Luke says, as we get out of the car at the school gates.
"Bye, see you," I kiss him on the cheek, and hop out.
"Ok see ya," Lucy hugs him and gets out too.Me and Lucy soon go our separate ways, into our first lesson.
"Good morning class. So today-" Mr Williams is cut off, as someone opens the door. "How can I help you?" He says as a girl stands awkwardly in the doorway.
"Hi, I'm Izzy. Izzy Banks. I'm a new student, I think I'm meant to be here," she smiles.Instantly, I like her. She's tall and slender, with olive skin, and dark curls, and glittering green eyes that show mischief, if you ask me.
"Ah, yes. Why don't you introduce yourself to us?" Mr Williams nods, and sits down at his desk.
"Sure," she walks to the middle, at the front. "Hi everyone, I'm Izzy Banks. I have an older sister, and I love to play tennis and soccer. I've just moved here from South Carolina. That's about it."
"Thank you Izzy. Go and sit down next to miss Darcy, that's the only seat left."I mentally jump with joy inside, history is such a bore, but with Izzy next to me, then I'm hoping that will change.
"Hey," she grins at me as she sits next to me.
"Hi, I'm Darcy Walker," I smile.
"Cool, so..."We chat all lesson, I find out lots. Her sister, who is called Melissa, is in the same high school as Harry and Tom. She's sixteen, so in between them. I wonder if she's pretty like Izzy - because I'm sure Tom or Harry would be interested in her! Typical.
"Wanna sit with me at lunch?" I casually ask her as we walk to cooking together.
"Sure," she smilies and shrugs.Soon, we are baking chocolate and raspberry cookies.
An hour later the bell goes and we walk to lunch.
"Who do you sit with at lunch?" Izzy asks.
"My twin, and usually others, just depends really," I say.
"Wait, why's she not in any of our classes?" Izzy looks confused.
"Because she's super smart so she got moved up to eighth grade!"
"Wow, blimey, didn't you want to move up with her?"
"Nah, I'm not smart enough and the work load is too much! I love my sports, especially hockey," I smirk.
"Fair enough, I'm hoping to join the soccer team, I was captain at my last school, but I prefer tennis," Izzy says.
"Yeah, you should join!"We get to the lunch table, and I introduce Izzy.
"Hey guys, this is Izzy. She's new. Izzy, this is Lucy, my twin, Jake and Hunter," I introduce as we sit down.
"Hey," Izzy says easily, pulling out her lunch. We all talked and chatted, I warmed to Izzy even more, she told us funny stories and tricks and jokes she used to do at her old school.
Sadly, the bell goes, so we walk to our next lesson.
Luckily it's art, so we just chat again while doing watercolours on canvas.
