Ashton: “I’m not going to laugh, (Y/N),” Ashton sighs, waiting patiently for you to come out of the bathroom. That wasn’t the thing bothering you, because as soon as he saw them, you know he wasn’t going to laugh. He was going to worry, and you don’t want him to. You don’t want him to know about the pain you go through, or see the physical evidence. Before you can stop him, Ashton pushes open the door with a small smile. “You look beautiful, I knew it-” he pauses as his eyes travel down to your exposed stomach, white, thin scars littering your skin. His smile falters for a brief second, but he soon grins again. “Don’t worry about them.” You sigh thankfully that he didn’t become fatherly, and you crash into his arms. “Just tell me whenever you feel like it, about why and that. Okay? Oh, and if you feel like doing it again,” he mutters in your ear. “I love you.”

Luke: “Try this on,” Luke offered, handing you a gorgeous bikini. You smiled and rushed to the changing rooms, but as soon as you pulled it on, you realised you had a small problem. After gaining more weight than you originally thought, you no longer felt that you looked good in the swimwear. In fact, when you looked in the mirror, all you saw was a bloated girl who was overweight. “Have you got it on yet?” Luke called, but you stayed silent, wondering what to do. He couldn’t see you like that! But it seems like the decision was made for you, as Luke walked straight into the girl’s changing rooms and into your stall, not bothering to check if you were naked. “Look’s fantastic!” he beams, not even noticing how miserable you look. “We should definitely buy it.” You hold his wrist before he could exit, holding him back. “Luke, I look fat!” you complain. “Look at all this, sticking out…” Luke’s face seems to darken, his eyes stormy. “Don’t you ever say that again. Ever.”  He rubs his thumb on your cheek, completely serious and definitely not amused by the topic. He raises his head and lightly kisses your forehead before pulling you into a warm embrace. “It breaks my heart to hear you say that. So please, please, don’t say that about yourself again.”

Calum: “I don’t mind you seeing,” you say carefully, pulling at one of the strings on your halter neck bikini top, not meeting your boyfriend’s eyes. “I know you won’t make fun of me, but I’m scared of what the other boys will say.” Despite trying to keep a straight face through all my little speech, Calum couldn’t help cracking a little laugh. “What? You think the boys will make fun of your appearance? You think they’re that heartless? I mean, I know they stole your lunch today and broke your thong-strap, but that was accidental… thing is, (Y/N), they won’t even mention it. If I like you, they will too.” Thinking about his words, you nod slightly. It makes sense after all, but you can’t help worrying. “If they make fun of me, you’re in trouble,” you warn, and although you do believing him, there was a flicker of fear in Calum’s eyes. However, once you step outside, Ashton immediately pulls you into the pool so they could have a complete team for water volleyball, so you know Calum was right. You can trust him completely.

Michael: Michael bought you, in your eyes, a very hideous swimsuit that looked wrong on you in all the right places. The last thing you wanted to do was wear it to the beach where everyone could see you, but that came after letting Michael down. “Do you like it?” he asks anxiously, as you step out of the car with the bikini on full show. Swallowing anxiously, you reply, “I love it.” You feel extremely bad about lying, but seeing Michael’s face light up made you feel happy too. He meant well, and seeing as you loved him too much, you decided to get over your opinions and wear it anyway. You stride out onto the beach, flaunting it off like there was nothing wrong, and as long as people thought you liked it, they couldn’t fault you. Michael couldn’t have been more proud of you.
