::Ellanae's P.O.V::

::The next morning::

I stretched out on the bed before looking around.

"I should get up."

After debating whether or not to get up, I pushed myself off the bed and walked over to Xavier's crib while yawning, but he wasn't there.

"Jacob!" I shouted.

I heard footsteps making their way down the hall and Jacob walked in with Xavier in his arms.

"He was crying this morning and you looked exhausted so I took him into the nursery."

"Oh," I sighed placing my hand on my heart. " thanks."

"I made breakfast."

"Really?"

"Yeah, made you some blueberry pancakes. My way if saying sorry for not helping the first night."

A wide smile spread across his face and I couldn't help but smile in response.

"Fine. You're forgiven."

Jacob smiled and took my hand, Xavier in the other and we made our way downstairs and into the kitchen to see Claire sitting at the table with her laptop in front her, eating a bowl of cereal.

"Morning." She said as soon as we passed her.

"Morning." Jacob smiled before nudging me.

"Morning." I said.

Claire smiled and returned to what she was doing On her laptop.

I sat down at the table and Jacob put Xavier in my arms, then went to put out breakfast.

Xavier began fussing and I rocked him back and forth.

In the corner of my eye, I could see Claire look up at us before focusing her eyes back on the screen in front of her.

I mentally sighed before getting up and walking over to her before placing Xavier in her arms.

She looked up at me with a confused expression.

"Hold your nephew. I'm gonna use the bathroom."

She nodded and smiled, looking down at him.

As I walked out the kitchen I looked back to see Jacob smiling in my direction and I stuck my tongue out before going to use the bathroom.

When I walked back into the kitchen, Jacob and Claire were sitting down talking and laughing.

"Here's your breakfast." Jacob smiled taking the cover off my food.
