::Ellanae’s P.O.V::

“You have everything right?’

“Mummy it’s not her first day of school,” Claire laughed, “And they’re about to graduate just now anyway.”

“I know but still,”

“Calm down mummy.” I giggled as I continued to eat my breakfast,

“Jacob’s coming for you right?”

I nodded my head,

“Okay, I won’t bother you anymore, Have a good day at school, You have a good day at work, Bye.”

“Bye mummy,” We chimed.

“Abandoning my drops to school for a boy,”

I opened my mouth wide and was about to say something when Claire held her hand up to my face,

“Chill, I’m joking.”

“Mhmm,” I said as I slit my eyes.

She laughed till we heard a car honk outside and I got up and saw Jacob roll the window down and wave at me.

I walked back into the kitchen and took my bag,

“I’ll see you later, Don’t have too much fun with Jeremy, but enjoy your day,”

Clair slit her eyes at me this time, turning red once again and I chuckled before making my way out the door and into the car.

Jacob kissed me on my cheek and I smiled.

“This thing around my chest is mad uncomfortable,” Jacob said before pulling off.

“I don’t have one, It’s cause you got it worse than me.”

“Yeah, I Know.”

“When do you take that off?”

“Two weeks,” He groaned, “Look.”

He pulled up his shirt showing me the thing wrapped around his chest,

It looked kinda like a cast.

“It’s so that I don’t put too much pressure on my wounded areas.”

“Well, It means you’ll get better faster,” I smiled.

He smiled and when we stopped at a red light , placed his hand on my stomach.

I pushed it off.

“You know you can’t be doing that in school right?”

“Which is why imma do it now.”

“No Jacob, Stop.” I said pushing his hand off again, “This is not something that’s easy to get used to.”

“Don’t worry,” He said before driving again, “It’s not easy on me too, but we’ll make it work.”

I looked at him and smiled.

It’s like he always knows what to say.

The car pulled up to the school parking lot and Jacob parked the car before turning the engine off.

“Well, we’re about to be hit with a bunch of  stares. I’m sure there’s some rumour going around that we both died and people’s eyes are gonna pop out of their heads when we walk in, but who cares?! That’s high school for you.”
