::Jacob’s P.O.V::

“Ellanae,” I said catching up to her and holding onto her hand.

“You told her didn’t you?” She asked.

“No, I didn’t, I swear.”

“You’re lying,” She sniffled as her eyes began to swell with tears,

“Ellanae if you don’t believe me who else will you believe? You and I both know Carrie is on that ninja shit and finds out things mad fast.”

She stopped and sniffled again.

I pulled her into a hug and we sat down at the bottom of the stairs as she cried into my chest.

“I’m so scared for when everyone finds out, especially my dad, The anxiety is killing me.”

“I know,” I said as I rubbed her head,

“I just want them all to find out, but there’s no easy way to say it and my parents can be unpredictable.”

“Shh,” I said as I rubbed her back, :”We’re in this together,”

She gripped onto my shirt tighter as the tears continued to fall from her face.

It breaks my heart to see her like this,

The three people I hate to see cry are My mom, Carrie and Ellanae.

I got up and picked her up bridal style,

“We’re going back to my room,”

“Bu—“

“Shh,”

We walked back up the stairs in silence  and I placed Ellanae on my bed.

“Stay with me,” She said pulling down on my shirt,

“I’m gonna get us some cupcakes.”

“Oh,” She said as she gave me a small smile, “Okay.”

I walked out the room, closing the door behind me and walked into the kitchen and took two cupcakes with green icing out the box.

“Is she alright?”

I jumped and almost dropped the cupcakes.

“Carrie stop sneaking up on me like that,”

“Sorry sweetheart,”

“And no, She’s a bit upset.”

“Why?”

“Bad day,”

“That’s it?”

I nodded.

“Jacob honey you know you can come to me whenever you need advice, help, anything.”

I swallowed hard.

“I know,”

“So you have nothing to tell me?”

I shook my head slowly and Carrie looked at me,

“Alright, I hope Ellanae feels better.”

I nodded and picked the cupcakes back up and walked into my room to see Ellanae lying on my bed with her eyes closed.
