~Author's POV~
While Emi, Maou and Alas=Ramus was walking silently, a voice came out of nowhere saying 'Emi'.
Emi suddenly got scared so she grabbed Maou's shirt.
"What is it?" He asked.
"J-just now, I heard my name." She said, trembling.
"Hahaha wow. A hero scared of a ghost? That's something you can't see everyday."
"W-what are you talking about?! I-I'm not scared of ghosts! Besides, I really heard my name."
"Hahaha then how come I can't hear any-"
He didn't finish his sentence when he also heard his name. He, too, started to tremble in fear.
"Any what? Don't just stop in mid-"
"EMIIIII!!!"
Both of them nervously looked at their side, where the voice came from.
"Oh no, it's Rika!" Emi said with panic in her voice.
"MAOU-SAMAAAAA!!!!"
Then another voice came from the other side.
"A-Ashiya?!"
They both started to move towards the other side but stopped when they saw Suzuno standing there.
"S-Suzuno?!"
"I am sorry Emilia but I cannot allow you or the Demon Lord to pass through!"
They turned the other way but saw Chiho.
"Chiho? You too?"
"I-I need to know, Maou-san..."
"N-need to know what?"
"If you two like each other." Rika said. "So just be obedient and stay put."
Maou looked everywhere to see if there was a way out of this mess. Emi did the same but just couldn't find any. They were moving towards them, slowly.
"W-we're trapped..." Emi said.
"D-don't state the obvious!" Maou said.
"Mama, Papa, Rika-nee-chan looks scawie~." Alas=Ramus said.
~EMI'S POV~
What can I do now?
We're completely trapped!
But why am I feeling so nervous anyway?
It's not like I like him, right?
Right?!
God Dammit! Why won't you answer, Emi?!
Then does that mean...I'm denying it?
I'm denying that I don't like him.
Then that means...I like him?
No way! That can't be true!
But why does my heart keeps saying 'yes'?

I LOVE him.

Wait, THAT'S EVEN WORSE!
And that's completely insane!
We're enemies! It's impossible!
Oh no! They're so near now!
W-what's going to be my answer?!

I'll just let my brain or heart decide on it.
They'll expose me anyway...
And I can't hide it forever...

~MAOU'S POV~
Dammit! We can't escape.
...NO! There must be a way!

Ugh! It's hopeless!
But...why am I so desperate to find a way out?
It's like I'm...scared.

Scared of what?
......
Scared of admitting my true feelings.

True feelings ha...
So that's why I can't answer.
Because...I do like her.

Or is it...LOVE?
Hahahaha....
What am I thinking?

They both shouted at the same time.
Everyone stopped whatever they were doing and looked at them.
Silence covered the whole mall.
Or more like the WHOLE WORLD was silent for both Maou and Emi.
No sound was heard.
Except for the beating sound of their hearts.
